56th ANNUAL FORREST ROGERS MEMORIAL SET FOR SATURDAY AUGUST 8
BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – Enough already with the rainy weather on Saturdays!
With morning showers and thunderstorms rolling through the Berks County region, and more heavy thunderstorms forecast for later in the day, racing for Saturday, July 18 has been cancelled at Grandview Speedway.
The weather cancellation is now the seventh of the season for the one-third-of-a-mile high banked clay oval, resulting in Speedway management looking to revise and update the race schedule for the remainder of the season.
T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment was to sponsor the July 18 program, with their night now rescheduled for Saturday, August 15, featuring the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modifieds & Sportsman along with the Outlaw Racing Series Vintage cars and the rescheduled Kid’s Money scramble starting at 7:30 pm.
Fans and race teams will now look ahead to next Saturday, July 25, when racing action will include the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modifieds & Sportsman in another NASCAR Local Racing Series Powered by O’Reilly Auto Parts program starting at 7:30 pm.
For Saturday, July 25 adult grandstand admission is $20, students 10-15 with ID are $10, while children ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $35 for NASCAR members and $45 for non-members.
Pit gates will open at 4 pm, with grandstand gates opening at 5:30 pm, warm-ups starting at 6:15 pm, and the first race of the evening getting the green flag at 7:30 pm.
Racing for Saturday, August 1 will see the Low Down Entertainment Modified match races along with a complete two-division program of T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modifieds & Sportsman starting at 7:30 pm.
The mid-summer classic for the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modifieds, the 56th annual Forrest Rogers Memorial is fast approaching on Saturday, August 8, with the Modifieds running a 50-lap $10,000 to win Championship event, along with the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment sportsman starting at 7:30 pm.
Since the 1960’s, Grandview Speedway has been presenting exciting wheel to wheel NASCAR stock car racing every Saturday Night starting in April and running through October, plus special events. Grandview Speedway is located at 43 Passmore Road, Bechtelsville, Pa. 19505, just off Route 100, ten miles north of Pottstown, Pa.
