BROOKFIELD, NY – Let’s hope for some sunshine.
A rain-derailed special-events season at Brookfield Speedway is set to conclude on Saturday, Oct. 3 with a huge program of racing on the Madison County Fairgrounds.
Twice postponed by wet weather, the “Chasing the Golden Beaver” Modified special takes place with $2,000 awaiting the winner after 30 laps around the quarter-mile oval. Modifieds, big- and small-blocks, will race under Short Track Super Series rules utilizing sail panels with both American Racer or Hoosier tires permitted.
Danny Creeden is the defending winner of this event.
M.J. Keith Construction Sportsman are on the agenda with $700 awaiting the winner after 25 laps.
Anderson Towing & Recovery Pro Stocks run a 25-lap feature event offering the winner $500.
Also on the card: Hustle the Highway Series 600 Modifieds, White’s Welding & Custom Cutting Four Cylinders and a 50-lap Enduro.
Pit gates open at 2 p.m. Grandstand gates unlock at 3 p.m. Hot laps hit the track at 4:30 p.m., with racing at 5:30 p.m.
Grandstand admission is $22. Kids 11 and under are FREE.
