BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – The 64th anniversary season of auto racing action at Grandview Speedway moves into the final weekend of competition for Modified and Sportsman competitors, and it is the biggest weekend of the season with the running of the 56th annual Freedom 76!
The Freedom 76 weekend begins on Friday, September 18 with the 13th annual Freedom 38 Sportsman Championship. The race program will follow the Freedom 76 race format with qualifying heats, consolations, Roy Miller II of Keller Williams Real Estate $500 to win cash dash, the Patriot 20, all leading up to the 38-lap Championship feature event, plus practice time for 358 Modified drivers wishing to participate in the Freedom 76.
Racers are reminded that the Freedom 38 is open to regular Sportsman division drivers only (track or series), drivers who compete regularly in Modified division competition are not eligible to compete.
Friday’s program will be known as Fans for Five Friday as the grandstand admission is just $5, while children ages 9 and under will be free of charge.
On Friday, pit gates open at 3 pm, with grandstand gates opening at 5:30 pm, drivers meeting at 5:30 pm, with the pill draw following the drivers meeting. Warmups are at 6:15 pm, and racing will start at 7:30 pm. Pit admission on Friday is $40, and no license is required. There is no rain date for the Friday event.
Saturday, September 19, will feature the 56th annual Freedom 76 in honor of Theresa Rogers for the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment 358 Modifieds. The program includes qualifying heats, consolations, GT Radiator Repair $1000 to win cash dash, and the Schaeffer’s Motorsports Minuteman 20, all leading up to the 76-lap Championship main event that will pay $35,531 plus bonuses to the winner.
On Saturday pit gates open at 9 am, for car inspections, fans will be able to enter the Grandstand areas between 9 am, and 12 Noon to reserve seats with blankets, with grandstand ticket windows opening at 3 pm. Pill draw for position is at 4:30 pm, with the drivers meeting at 5 pm, warm-ups are at 6 pm, with racing starting at 7 pm.
Adult Grandstand tickets on Saturday will be $40, students 10-15 with ID are $20, while children ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit admission will be $45, and no license is required. There will be no advanced tickets sold for this event, and the rain date is Saturday, September 26.
Drivers are reminded that rules and procedures as well as entry forms for the 56th annual Freedom 76 are available on the Grandview Speedway website at www.grandviewspeedway.com under the Freedom 76 tab.
For the Freedom 76 & Freedom 38, the tire rules for the event are as follows, American Racer tires, 48 or 50 on the right rear, and it must be the Grandview Speedway tread pattern. Drivers are reminded that all cars must be using the RIGHT SIDE pan hard bar suspension set up. All race teams are reminded that, as has been the case all season, there is no fuel truck on site so plan accordingly. American Racer tires will be available at the racetrack this weekend.
Last season over fifty drivers competed in the Freedom 76 along with over 60 drivers competing in the Freedom 38, and this year’s event should see the Grandview regulars battle it out with a whole host of invaders for the big championship prizes. With Grandview Speedway being a member of the NASCAR Local Racing Series Powered by O’Reilly Auto Parts, drivers who will be competing in this season’s T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modified Freedom 76 and Sportsman Freedom 38 will be racing for bonus money courtesy of the NASCAR Local Racing Series.
*On Saturday, September 19 the winner of the Freedom 76 will receive a $1000 bonus from the NASCAR Local Racing Series increasing the winner’s take to a cool $36,531, and if the driver competed in all the Saturday NASCAR point races at the track this season, an additional bonus of $1000 will be awarded, plus Victory Auto Glass has posted a $300 bonus if the winner starts 12th or further back in the feature, plus a Bob Hilbert Sportswear Gift Certificate of $150 to the winner, making it possible for a driver to win $37,981 in this year’s Freedom 76!
The T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman Freedom 38 purse will pay $2064 to win, with the number 64 signifying the years of racing at Grandview Speedway.
*On Friday September 18 the winner of the Freedom 38 will receive a $500 bonus from the NASCAR Local Racing Series increasing the winner’s share to $2564, and if the driver competed in all the Saturday NASCAR point races at the track this season, an additional $500 bonus will be awarded, plus Lisa’s Landscaping has added a $400 bonus to the winners take, along with Victory Auto Glass posting an added $150 if the winner starts 12th or further back in the feature, and a Bob Hilbert Sportswear Gift Certificate of $150 to the winner, making for a possible $3764 to win the Freedom 38!
As has been a tradition for many seasons, lap money will be paid to the drivers leading the laps in the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modified Freedom 76, with all of the laps being sold and some more than once for this year’s big race. The list will be posted on social media once again and read at the track over the PA system on championship race weekend.

The 2026 Grandview Speedway track champions were determined this past Saturday night in a spectacular action packed night of racing, which included two first time point champions!
Logan Watt turned in a dramatic drive from fifteenth starting spot, through the field with only one caution slowing the event, caught and passed leader Jon Kellner coming to the white flag, then raced home to his first T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment NASCAR Modified feature win of the season, and in the process also captured the 2026 T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modified Track Championship!
Eddie Strada was leading the points entering the night, also looking for his first point title, but was involved in a heat race crash, ran the consolation with a back-up car failing to qualify, then used a provisional starting spot, charging up to finish sixteenth, but it was not enough to hold the lead with Watt racing home with the win.
Watt captured his first T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modified point title in just his second year in the division, with Strada having his finest year at Grandview finishing second in points, while Jeff Strunk was charging through the field last Saturday night only to have a break down and drop out, but still will finish in third position in points.
Rick Laubach missed a top ten feature run, but will still finish fourth in points, while Louden Reimert had a strong fourth place feature run to grab the fifth position in the final point standings.

It was a three driver battle to win the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment NASCAR Sportsman point title, with Joe Toth scoring a seventh place feature run, staying ahead of the other two contenders to capture his first Grandview point crown.
Addison Meitzler started twenty-fourth and finished eighth in Saturday’s feature, but could not unseat Toth in the top spot and ends up with the number two spot in points, while last year’s Champion Colin Cox ended the night in fifteenth spot after starting in twenty-fifth position, and will end the year with the third position in points.
Teague Miller did not score a top ten feature run but will have his finest year to date with a fourth in points, while Brett Gilmore made a charge from twenty-seventh starting spot to finish eleventh in Saturday’s feature and grabbed the fifth position in the final point standings.
