FONDA, NY – Due to a 100-percent chance of rain all day, today’s (April 16) Palmer’s Service Center 71st Season Opener at Fonda Speedway has been canceled.

This Wednesday, April 20, the Track of Champions will host an open practice from 6-9 p.m. All cars are welcome.
Pit gates open at 4 p.m.
Grandstand admission is free for practice. Pit admission is $25 (Fonda members) or $30 (non-members). Kids (ages 6-12) pay $10. Children 5 and under pay $2.
Limited concessions will be open for practice. Sunoco Race Fuels will be on sale.
Attention then turns to Saturday, April 23 with the Montgomery County Open honoring Jumpin’ Jack Johnson. Sunoco Modifieds with sail panels race 40 laps competing for $12,000 to win, $1,000 for 10th and $500 to start. This event will offer 25 show-up points for all competitors and utilize a draw/redraw format.
Swagger Factory Apparel Crate 602 Sportsman, Montgomery County Office for Aging Limited Sportsman, Algonkin Motel Pro Stocks and Fonda Fair Four Cylinders will all take part in point-season openers.
The Mohawk Valley Vintage Dirt Modified Series will make its first 2022 visit.
For April 23, Adult admission is $20. Seniors (ages 65 and up) pay $18. Kids 11 and under are free.
Pit admission is $35 (Fonda members) or $40 (non-members). Kids (ages 6-12) pay $10. Children 5 and under pay $2.
Gates open at 3 p.m., with hot laps at 5:30 p.m. and racing at 6:30 p.m.
Since 1953, the “Track of Champions” Fonda Speedway has hosted the best in stock car racing. Under the management of BD Motorsports Media LLC, the speedway will operate weekly on Saturday nights from April through August plus several special events. Fonda Speedway is located on the Montgomery County Fairgrounds off New York State Thruway Exit No. 28 at 21 S. Bridge Street Fonda, NY 12068.
