The staff and management at Mountain Creek Speedway, in conjunction with The Martin Truex Jr. Foundation and the McCleary and Bush family are excited to announce the second annual Chad Busch Clash presented by the Martin Truex Jr. Foundation returning November 12th and 13th to Mountain Creek Speedway. The foundation will be donating $5,000 to this years event. Last years inaugural Chad Bush Clash weekend saw one of the biggest crowds in the history of the speedway capped off by seventeen divisions of racing.
“We’re so excited to hear that the 2nd annual Chad Bush Clash is back! said Sherry Pollex. “He was such a light in this world, and we feel honored to have been a small part of his life. We’re looking forward to raising funds for cancer patients in need in the Charlotte area.” As huge advocates for fighting childhood and ovarian cancer, Martin Truex Jr. and girlfriend Sherry Pollex help to establish initiatives for cancer awareness which was founded in 2007.
The two-day, Saturday/Sunday event will feature flat kart racing on Saturday and outlaw kart racing on Sunday with 100% of the support going to benefit the Cabarrus Healthcare Foundation in Chad Bush’s name. Chad Bush was a weekly competitor since the tracks inception and a huge supporter of the speedway who was diagnosed with Cancer in 2016 after 22 years of remission. Bush won the tracks Mini Modified division title last year while still undergoing treatments. Ultimately, Bush would succumb from complications from cancer and passed earlier this year in May. The race will now be established as an annual memorial event at the speedway in his honor.
This years Chad Bush Clash will see upwards of seventeen divisions of racing take to the speedway by the creek. Businesses are also joining in with smaller sponsorships of each division racing. A link to donate to the event has also been established through the Cabarrus Healthcare Foundation. https://cabarrushealthcarefoundation.org/donate-3rd-party/ All donations will see 100% of the support going to charity
