LANCASTER, NY (July 10, 2022) … Stock cars return to action this coming Thursday night, July 14 at Lancaster Motorplex. The Thursday Showdown will feature the Sportsman, Street Stocks, 4 Cylinders, and TQ Midgets.
Heading into the racing program Thursday night, George Skora III from Eden, NY has a 12-point lead over reigning track champion Shawn Nye from Lancaster, NY in the Sportsman division. West Seneca, NY’s Dave Krawczyk has an 11-point lead over 2021 divisional champion Rich Sharpe from Depew, NY in the Street Stock division. In the 4 Cylinder division, Charles Palmer from Cheektowaga, NY has a 10-point lead over defending track champion David Brunka from Cheektowaga, NY.
At all stock car events, the popular Big Wheel Races will be taking place during intermission. Kids can sign up for FREE at the picnic tables upon entry to the facility to participate in the Big Wheels.
Pit gates open at 4 pm, grandstands at 5:00 pm, practice will begin at 5:30 pm, and racing will get underway at 7:00 pm sharp! Pit admission is $40. Grandstand admission is $20 for adults, $17 for seniors (60 +), kids aged 9-15 are $10, with kids 8 and under will be admitted FREE.
