PORT ROYAL, PA – A Behrent’s boost.

The Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco is set for the third consecutive running of the ‘Speed Showcase’ weekend at the state-of-the-art Port Royal Speedway.

The full weekend of racing takes place Thurs.-Sat. Oct. 13-15, culminating in Saturday’s 75-lap, $50,000-to-win main event for the STSS big-block/small-block Modifieds.

Behrent’s Performance Warehouse has signed on to present Thursday’s (Oct. 13) ‘Preliminary Night’ to kick off the three-day racing festival.

Behrent’s Performance Warehouse ‘Preliminary Night’ features a full program for the STSS Modifieds and practice rounds for the STSS Crate 602 Sportsman of the Belmont’s Garage South Region.

The STSS Modifieds race for 40 laps around the sprawling half-mile speedway for a $5,500 payday.

Behrent’s Performance Warehouse has upped the ante for Thursday Night’s program, adding $5,000 to the total purse.

Each of the top-10 finishers in the 40-lap STSS Modified event will receive an additional $500 in their pay envelope, so long as their car is outfitted with a Behrent’s Performance Warehouse decal.

Behrent’s Performance Warehouse was founded by Harry Behrent in 1972 as Behrent’s Speed Center Inc., a general speed and tire shop aimed at the general automotive market. In 1982, a decision was made to focus on the parts and service market and leave behind Harry’s career as a driver. The speed center has grown to a nationally known leader in the automotive racing industry.

Behrent’s Performance Warehouse is located at 38 Meadow Road Florida, NY 10921 and can be found on the web at www.behrents.com. By phone, call 845.651.7389.

Preliminary Night is followed by Bob Hilbert Sportswear Qualifying Night on Friday night (Oct. 14).

20-lap Qualifiers for the STSS Modifieds and 15-lap Qualifiers for the STSS Crate 602 Sportsman begin to set the starting fields for their respective main events on Saturday.

The Weikert’s Livestock 410 Sprint Cars of Port Royal Speedway join the Friday night program, racing for a $5,000 winner’s share.

The Pro Stocks – based in New York State – hit the Port Royal clay for the first time, taking part in practice rounds on Friday night.

Saturday (Oct. 15) is the main event, as the STSS Modifieds and STSS Crate 602 Sportsman run final consolation races to set their final starting fields.

The STSS Modifieds do battle for the now 75-lap ‘Speed Showcase’ for a $50,000 top prize and $1,000 to start the main event.

The STSS Crate 602 Sportsman participate in their most lucrative event of the year, in Ice Less LLC ‘Speed Showcase 40,’ paying $4,000-to-win and $200 just to take the green.

The Pro Stocks join Saturday’s racing for a 30-lap main event and a minimum $1,200-to-win main event.

Reserved tickets for Saturday’s (Oct. 15) headline event are on sale as of Sept. 21 through the Port Royal Speedway office (717.527.2303).

Sections A-G are FULLY RESERVED for Saturday’s main event while Sections H-O are for General Admission seating. All reserved seating is $40.
