– $2,072.72-to-Win for the “National Parts Peddler 40” –
North East, Pa. – (September 19, 2022) – The Race of Champions Super Stock Series has put on some of the most exciting racing in the Race of Champions family of Series and on Saturday, September 24, as part of Presque Isle Downs & Casino Race of Champions Weekend at Lake Erie Speedway in Northeast, Pa., the Super Stocks will compete in the “National Parts Peddler 40”. The race’s name is in honor of the events that took place at Pocono Raceway. The race winner on Saturday will earn similar glory when they pull into victory lane after 40 hard fought laps.
Tommy Barron of Ontario, N.Y., is looking to go back-to-back and earn his third overall Race of Champions Super Stock Series title. Matt Druar of Clarence, N.Y., is on the outside looking in, currently second in the standings with Tim Gullo of Elmira, N.Y., in third.
Former Series and race champion, Joe Mancuso of Buffalo, N.Y., is looking to play the role of spoiler on Saturday.
“Presque Isle Downs and Casino Race of Champions weekend means a great deal to all of us,” stated Mancuso. “The night we won, we went to Presque Isle Downs and took photos with the victory lane check. It was special and I hope we can repeat it this weekend. We are really looking forward to it.”
The Race of Champions Super Stock Series competes alongside the Race of Champions Sportsman Modified Series; the Race of Champions Rocket Performance 602 Sportsman Modified Series; the Race of Champions Late Models; the Race of Champions FOAR Score Four Cylinder Dash Series and the WNY TQ Midgets on Saturday.

Tickets may be purchased for the weekend and will be available at the Lake Erie Speedway ticket office or at www.lakeeriespeedway.com. In the event that there is inclement weather, the event will be postponed to 2023.
