The 2022 ‘Cajun Swing’ for the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco is quickly approaching with five events at three Texas and Louisiana facilities Tuesday-Saturday Nov. 8-12.
Wegner Automotive, based in Markesan, Wis., has signed on as a presenting sponsor of the Ollie’s ‘Cajun Swing’ with events scheduled for Rocket Raceway Park in Petty, Texas (Nov. 8-9), Ark-La-Tex Speedway in Vivian, La. (Nov. 10) and Boothill Speedway in Greenwood, La. (Nov. 11-12).
Wegner Automotive is the home of the LS 427 Modified ‘Weekend Warrior’ engine, a Sunoco Modified feature winner this season at New York’s Fonda Speedway. The ‘Weekend Warrior’ engine comes with an affordable price tag of $22,500.
All-new at Wegner Automotive is an ‘All-Out’ 434 cubic inch LS engine designed for Short Track Super Series competition at a price of $42,500.

The third annual ‘Cajun Swing’ pits the stars of the Northeast-based Short Track Super Series against the growing contingent of Ollie’s ‘Cajun Region’ competitors.
First up, the STSS travels into Texas for the first time for a visit to the state-of-the-art Rocket Raceway Park.
The stop at the Petty, Texas facility features a 30-lap, $4,000-to-win feature event on Tuesday (Nov. 8) and a 35-lap, $5,000-to-win affair on Wednesday (Nov. 9).
The STSS picks up and treks east for Thursday (Nov. 10) night racing at Vivian, La.’s Ark-La-Tex Speedway.
The ‘Land of the Three Wide’ hosts a 35-lap, $4,000-to-win main event.
The week of racing makes its final stop in Greenwood, La., at Boothill Speedway. Boothill Speedway will conclude its 50th anniversary season with the final two nights of the Wegner Automotive ‘Cajun Swing.’
Friday (Nov. 11) night features another 30-lap affair worth $4,000 to the winner.
The headline event of the week occurs on Saturday (Nov. 12) when the STSS Modifieds go for 50-laps and a $20,000 payday top prize in the ‘Gunslinger’ special.
The entire five-night swing will be broadcast live to a national audience on FloRacing (www.floracing.tv) as part of the $150 annual subscription.
