N. Woodstock, NH — After growing the Wall’s Ford Platinum Series to a four-race program for this summer at White Mountain Motorsports Park, rains have plagued New Hampshire’s Favorite Short Track again and again and pushed officials to return the young series to it’s traditional three-race format. Following the Memorial Day weekend Spring Board 100 and June’s $3,000 to win Foley Oil & Propane special, the Wall’s Ford Platinum Series will crown its 2023 champion on Saturday, September 9.
Saturday, September 9th will be an action-packed night of racing, smack in the middle of a four-week-stretch of can’t miss events. Headlined by both the Wall’s Ford Platinum Series championship 100 and the $5,000 to win R&R Race Parts NH Street Stock 100, the Ammonoosuc Asphalt Mini Late Models will also contest for the extra money Matt Clay Memorial Midseason Championship make-up along with the Flying Tigers, Strictly Minis and Dwarf Cars.
Jimmy Renfrew Jr. leads Kasey Beattie by a slim one-point margin in the Wall’s Ford Platinum Series championship standings with a new champion guaranteed after dominant Derek Gluchacki opted out of his defense of the inaugural crown.
White Mountain Motorsports Park will be taking another planned weekend off this week with the Oxford 250 on tap in Maine, meaning Thunder returns to the Mountains on Saturday, September 2nd for the Foley Oil & Propane Late Model Leaf Peepers 100. The Labor Day weekend special will also include the Fisher Auto Parts Flying Tigers, Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Stock Minis and Dads 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Division are also joined by the NELCAR Legends Tour on Saturday, September 2nd.
