TAFFORD, Conn. – Woody Pitkat and the Dunleavy Racing team announced today that Pitkat will drive the No. 88 in the full Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series schedule in quest for the championship in 2024.

The Tri-Track Series schedule includes eight events at seven different tracks, beginning with the Icebreaker at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park on Saturday, April 6. The season also includes visits to Thunder Road Speedbowl (May 26), Seekonk Speedway (June 26 and November 2), White Mountain Motorsports Park (July 27), New London-Waterford Speedbowl (August 10), Star Speedway (September 15) and Stafford Motor Speedway (September 28).

Entering 2024, Pitkat has the second most all-time starts on the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series with 45. Pitkat went to Victory Lane at New London-Waterford Speedbowl in 2015 and has 13 top-fives in those 45 starts. He’s excited to visit many tracks where he’s been successful in his career this season. Pitkat is a former multiple-time champion at both Thompson Speedway and Stafford Motor Speedway.

“Having the Tri-Track Series open the season at the Thompson Icebreaker is great for the race fans,” Pitkat said. “It’s going to be a mega weekend of racing there in April. I’ve had success at most, if not all, of the tracks on the Tri-Track Series schedule for 2024. Definitely looking forward to getting to the high banks of White Mountain in July, it’s a great track for Modified racing. Working with Doug Dunleavy, Cam McDermott and the entire team has produced great success the last few years. We’re looking forward to chasing some trophies again this season.”

The team will also compete in the third race of the SMART Modified Tour season at South Boston Speedway, the King of the Modifieds event worth $20,000 to win, on Saturday, March 23.

Owned by Doug Dunleavy, Dunleavy’s Truck and Trailer Repair includes roadside service and a full-service diesel mechanic shop. For more information on them, call 203-775-9199 or visit dunleavysroadservice.com.

“Love working with Woody,” Dunleavy said. “There is nothing better than Modified racing in New England. We’re excited to race for a title with the Tri-Track Series, one of the best divisions there is anywhere in the country. The competition is great. See everyone at the track!”
