OSWEGO, NY (May 13, 2024) – The Oswego Kartway is readying for an exciting 2024 season with a limited schedule now announced, following a new agreement reached between Oswego Speedway and the experienced Thurston Family.
Bringing decades of kart racing expertise, the Thurston Family is well known for their successful tenure at Can-Am Speedway and is set to inject fresh energy into Oswego Kartway.
Bob Thurston Jr. expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “We have stayed involved in kart racing since selling Can-Am, racing karts with family and helping with karting events around the area. Some racers suggested that we look into the Oswego Kartway, so we met with the Torreses and have agreed to operate the Kartway for a limited schedule in 2024 and possibly moving forward in the years to come.”
The 2024 Oswego Kartway season will commence this Sunday, May 19th, allowing racers the chance to hit the track for the first time during an open practice session.
Following this, Sundays throughout the summer will host Regular Shows on June 2nd, August 4th, and August 18th. Additionally, a special Regular Show will take place on Friday, June 28th, adding to the mid-season excitement.
The action heats up on Saturday, July 13th, with the Outlaw Predators event, and as summer draws to a close, mark your calendars for the Oswego Kartway Classic during Bud Classic Week 68, Thursday, August 29th.
Finally, the 2024 Oswego Kartway season concludes with the return of the prestigious ‘Fall Frenzy’ on Sunday, September 22nd.
