Evans Mills, NY-The first true summer night brought race fans to the Evans Mills Raceway Park for the annual CDL Night, which had the first ever visit from the Dirt Modified Nostalgia Tour.
The Excess Storage Pro Late Models started the evening’s feature. An opening lap caution would the only yellow of the feature, which saw Frank Brown spinning down the front stretch and into the infield. On the restart, Chuck Meyer inherited the lead from his third place starting position. Meyer would continue to lead as Rylee Gill began to chase him down. Gill, however would not be able to get by the leader. Meyer would lead all 15 laps to pick up his first feature win of the season.

The Dirt Modified Nostalgia Tour were next for their first feature on asphalt. Joe August Jr. and Aaron Pugh made up the front row. It would be Pugh gaining the jump on the start and building a straightaway lead in the opening laps. On lap 14, second place runner, August would spin in the middle of turns three and four. Pugh would keep control of the race on the restart. August quickly worked back into the second position, but would run out of laps, as Pugh would lead from green to checkers for the win.

Tony Pettinelli and Kyle Hart started on the front row for the 35-lap Kinney Drugs Sportsman Modified feature. Pettinelli would take the early lead with Dylan Bancroft moving into the second position. Pettinelli would lead until the first and only caution on lap 20. On the restart, Pettinelli elected to start on the inside and Bancroft choose the top side. Pettinelli would hold off Bancroft for two laps, but Bancroft powered by on the high side to take the lead. Bancroft would quickly race off to a 5 car lead as Jeff Pringle would get by Pettinelli to take over second place. Pringle chased down Bancroft and put heavy pressure on him during the closing laps. Bancroft would be able to fight off a hard charging Pringle and go on to win his first feature of the season.

The combined features of the Stewart Shops Sport Compacts and Fenix U-Pull U-Save Thunderstocks headed onto the speedway next. Kevin Greenfield quickly took over control of the race on lap 3 from his sixth starting position. Greenfield would once again be too strong for the rest of the class. He remains perfect on the season win his 7th feature in a row. Colby Goodale returned to victory lane and earning his first feature win last week, going back to back.

The final feature of the evening brought the Christman Fuel Service INEX Legends onto the track for a 20-lap feature. Joel Hall, after starting fifth would work his way to the front and lead the first lap. Matt Haufe would follow Hall and move into the second spot. Cautions on laps 4, 6 and 8 would slow the field. On the final restart, Haufe would take the lead on the bottom side and lead the final 12 laps to win his third feature of the season in as many starts.
