Barre, VT & Naples, ME — Officials with the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) and American-Canadian Tour (ACT) decided and announced today an increased purse structure for the AZ Roofing SK Light Modifieds for the two Wednesday Night events in August. Starting this Wednesday, August 7 with the Tripoint Showdown program and again on Wednesday, August 14 alongside the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour 150, the SK Light Modifieds will be fighting for $1,000 to win in their 25-lap features!

The AZ Roofing SK Light Modifieds have been a weekly fixture at Thompson Speedway over the years and a strong supporter of the ACT & PASS efforts at the 0.625-mile oval since 2020. The monetary addition comes as back-to-back events highlight the August schedule at the Big-T. Once again, the August 7 program will be highlighted by the $3,000-to-win Tripoint Showdown 50-lapper for the Thompson Sunoco Modifieds plus the new $1,000-to-win increased purse for the AZ Roofing SK Light Modifieds and the Street Stocks, Mini Stocks and Late Models.

The Thompson Speedway faithful have a quick turnaround to the big Thompson 150 for the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour on Wednesday, August 14. All five track championship divisions are back in action, highlighted by the Thompson Sunoco Modifieds battle in a 30-lap sprint plus the increased $1,000-to-win AZ Roofing SK Light Modified 25-lap dash. Alongside the Thompson 150 will also be a special appearance by the New England Supermodified Series (NESS)!

“We wanted to again give back to the AZ Roofing SK Light Modified division,” said PASS President Tom Mayberry. “They’ve always been a great supporter of Cris and I’s efforts here at Thompson and we’d like to continue to foster a great relationship moving forward.”

Thompson Speedway returns to Wednesday night racing action on Wednesday, August 7 for the Tripoint Showdown 50-lap main event for the Thompson Sunoco Modifieds. The AZ Roofing SK Light Modifieds gun for a $1,000-to-win increased purse, plus Late Models, Street Stocks and Mini Stocks to make it a five division card with a 6:00pm Post Time on Wednesday, August 7. Grandstands will open at 4:00pm with adult general admission set at $25, kids 12-6 for $10 with children five and under free!
