(Butler Township, PA 9-20-24) When the Street Stock portion of the 23rd Annual King of the Green (KoG) takes place at Evergreen Raceway on Saturday afternoon, October 12, track management has announced that those competitors who are not regulars at the 1/3-mile paved oval are more than welcome to attend and need only to conform to their respective home track rules. This also includes the New York Super Stocks and the Race of Champions touring groups.

“We understand that several tracks around the region who run Street Stocks have rules that are close to what we have here at Evergreen and although that my keep some from running here at times during the season, we feel it will be good to open the door for those drivers to come in for the King of the Green and not worry about making changes to their cars,” said track owner/promoter Jason Makarewicz.

“The King of the Green is basically an open type show and it allows others drivers to come in and race against our group. This is such a highly competitive class and we feel by allowing outsides to conform to the rules they run by it will enhance more to come and compete with us for this special show.”

The Harry’s U-Pull-It Street Stocks will be racing in a 55-lapper with the winner collecting $1000. Mike Pollack of Freeland, is the defending King of the Green winner.

Saturday pit gates open at 9:00 am with registration taking place until 11:00 am. Warm-ups will run from 11:15 am to 12:30 pm. Qualifying will commence at 1:00 pm. Main grandstands open at 11:00 am. Pit admission is $50 and $20 at the front gate.

It is highly encouraged to sign-up for KoG pre-registration at $50 – which is a $20 saving on race day – by following the link: https://www.evergreenracewaypa.com/_files/ugd/2a9c41_9d4e70aa83c5447a9f774160fd85b1b7.pdf

The day will also include a 20 lap feature for the East Coast TQ Midgets and during intermission the JuiceBox Division will take to the track.
