(Butler Township, PA 10-23-24) Evergreen Raceway will bring the curtain down on the 2024 season with its final races taking place on Saturday afternoon, November 9, starting at 1:00 pm with a four division show.

On the agenda will be the Rotten-and-Forgotten, INEX Legends and Factory Stocks which will run heats and features. The day will also be highlighted by a 100-lap 4/6-cylinder Gut-N-Go Enduro.

Since its inception three years ago the Rotten-and-Forgotten class have become an exciting group of dedicated racers who are a tight knit unit that works very close with one another and then races very close when it’s time to bring the action.

The INEX Legends cars and Evergreen Raceway are a perfect match as despite the size of the cars they always showcase excellent racing each time they come to the paved 1/3-mile oval. Proof of that came during the October 19 King of the Green (KoG) when Devin Thornton made a last lap pass off the final corner on Chris Sinatro to score the popular win.

For the first time since 2023 the Factory Stocks are going to compete. There was every intent to run the cars during the KoG but re-scheduling conflicts with other area tracks would have made it a less than satisfactory show in having a decent number of race cars.

The November 9 date now bodes well to have the Factory Stocks on the line-up. All Factory Stocks cars are welcome to compete and must comply with their respective home track rules.

There is a pre-requisite that a dozen cars need to be registered prior to the race date. Please contact track owner/promoter Jason Makarewicz at 570-956-6347 or email: Evergreenraceway@gmail.com to enter a car. The cost is $30.

What better way to close out the season then the same way it started, with an Enduro. When Harry O’Neill won the most recent Enduro on June 15 he set a record for most wins in class with 11.

However, the first two Enduro’s saw TJ Kapish finish first and considering his strong performance this season in the Himmer Graphics Four Cylinders in which he won four races in six starts including the KoG – which was a record 19 with the division – he will indeed be a main factor as well as a will a host of others who always participate in these rousing shows.

During intermission the JuiceBox Division will hit the track for a final time this season.

Adult grandstand admission is $10, kids 12 and under are free. Main grandstands open at noon. Pit admission is $30. Pit gates open at 10:00 am and practice starts at 12:15 pm.

Evergreen Raceway’s 2-Seater Ride-along or Drive returns on Sunday, November 3, from noon to 3:00 pm. This event is by reservation only. To reserve a time slot or seek additional information please contact Jason Makarewicz at 570-956-6347 or email Evergreenraceway@gmail.com
