BRETT KRESSLEY & COLIN COX ARE ON TOP OF GRANDVIEW POINT STANDINGS

BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – Looking to keep the momentum rolling after a successful night of action last week, Grandview Speedway will be presenting a NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series Modified and Sportsman two-division show this Saturday night.

This coming Saturday, May 17 Grandview Speedway will present the T.P. Trailer NASCAR Modifieds and T.P. Truck Equipment NASCAR Sportsman in a two-division program which will include qualifying events for both classes leading up to the 30-lap T.P. Trailer Modified feature and the 25-lap T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman main event.

The starting time will be changing this week to 7:30 pm on May 17, which is the starting time for the remainder of all Saturday shows for the summer season.

Pit gates will open at 4 pm, with grandstand gates opening at 5:30 pm, warm-ups starting at 6:30 pm, and the first race of the evening getting the green flag at 7:30 pm.

Adult grandstand admission is $20, students ages 10-15 with ID are $10, while children ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $35 for NASCAR members and $45 for non-members.

After a successful presentation of Twin 25-lap features for the T.P. Trailer Modifieds last Saturday, track management has announced that the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman division will be having their chance at a double, with Twin 20-lap features now scheduled for Saturday, June 21.

The program on June 21 will include qualifying events for both the T.P. Trailer Modifieds and the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman leading into the 30-lap T.P. Trailer Modified feature and the Twin 20-lap T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman feature events.

The first Thunder on the Hill racing series event is next week on Tuesday, May 20, as Levan Machine & Truck Equipment presents the Rich Mar Florist Kubota High Limit 410 Sprints.

This special mid-week event will see the Rich Mar Florist Kubota High Limit 410 Sprints in the Roto-Rooter Mid-Week Series. The program includes time trials, and qualifying events leading up to the 35-lap feature event that pays $20,000 to win and $1500 to start the main event. The program also includes the Alpine Building Supply Vintage Cars in action with two 12-lap feature events.

Advance tickets for the May 20 event are currently available at TicketHoss.com. or will be available at the Speedway this Saturday night May 17. Advance ticket holders get to enter the grandstand at 4:30 pm, followed by general admission tickets going on sale and the main gate opening at 5 pm. Time trials start at 7 pm, with the show set to begin at 7:30 pm. A rain date of Wednesday, May 21 is in place if needed.

General admission tickets on race night for May 20 are $40 for adults, children 6-11 are $20, children 5 and under will be admitted for free.   The Pit Fee is $45 and a license is not required.   (Pit tickets are not available at Ticket Hoss).

The T.P. Trailer Modifieds participated in Twin 25-lap features last Saturday night, with Brett Kressley and Chris Esposito scoring the feature wins. With a win and a sixth place run, Brett Kressley has vaulted into the point lead heading into this week’s action. Mike Gular scored an eighth and a fifth place run to now sit second in points, while Craig Von Dohren scored a tenth and a seventh place run to move into the third spot in the point standings.

Louden Reimert had a thirteenth in feature one followed by a strong third place in feature two, to move into the fourth position in points, while Jared Umbenhauer had a fifteenth and a ninth place run between the two main events to now hold down the fifth place point position.

The following are the current top ten drivers in the T.P. Trailer Modified point standings – 1. Brett Kressley – 848, 2. Mike Gular – 795, 3. Craig Von Dohren – 706, 4. Louden Reimert – 680, 5. Jared Umbenhauer – 655, 6. Logan Watt – 617, 7. Matt Stangle – 592, 8. Duane Howard – 550, 9. Tim Buckwalter – 548, 10. Eddie Strada – 540.

The T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman had a wildly competitive affair last Saturday night with Lawson Szerencits scoring his first ever feature win. Colin Cox had early night troubles during qualifying, causing him to start 27th of 28 starters in the feature and rallied to a fine fourth place finish to maintain the number one spot in the points chase.

Dylan Swinehart likewise rallied from a 21st place start to a third place feature result and sits second in points while Nathan Mohr scored a ninth place finish and sits third in points. Adrianna Delliponti started last in the feature line up and moved up to finish 14th, still holding down fourth in points, while Kenny Gilmore ended up with a thirteenth place run, which enables him to hold down fifth in points.

The following are the current top ten drivers in the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman point standings – 1. Colin Cox – 579, 2. Dylan Swinehart – 538, 3. Nathan Mohr – 506, 4. Adrianna Delliponti – 470, 5. Kenny Gilmore – 459, 6. Mike Schneck Jr. – 410, 7. Mike Stofflet – 403, 8. Kyle Hartzell – 369, 9. Dakota Kohler – 354, 9. Teague Miller – 354.

Racing action the following Saturday, May 24, will be another triple-header as the T.P. Trailer Modifieds and the T. P. Truck Equipment Sportsman will be joined by the Outlaw Racing Series Vintage cars for their first Saturday night appearance of the year.
