(Butler Township, Pa. 6-16-25) Evergreen Raceway has twice been forced to cancel the Tour Type Modifieds due to rainouts but in an effort to give racers of the division the chance to get in some much needed track time and fans the opportunity they deserve, promoter/owner Jason Makarewicz has taken the initiative and added them to the Sunday, July 13 schedule.
“It’s been a struggle to say the least trying to not only run our Tour Type Modifieds but most of our shows. We just lost this past Sunday to rain and Mother Nature has been tough on us and a lot of other tracks this year,” said Makarewicz.
“I hate that we lost two Tour Type Modified shows especially since we only race them a handful of times, so we looked at what was available schedule-wise, and July 13 seems to be a good slot to get them in.”
The Tour Type Modifieds will share the bill with the Late Models, Harry’s U-Pull-It Street Stocks, Himmer Graphics Four Cylinders, McNultey Funeral Home Novice’s and INEX Legends.
The Four Cylinder were slated to run a 50 lap feature that day but according to Makarewicz they will instead run a regular 25 lap main and add the 50-lapper to a later date.
“Adding the Tour Type Modifies to July 13 we feel will be a great afternoon of racing given the mix of other divisions that day. We also looked at most other tracks that run the Modifieds and there is no conflicts.”
