T.P. TRAILER MODIFIED & T.P. TRUCK EQUIPMENT SPORTSMAN PLUS VINTAGE SATURDAY AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY

PENNSYLVANIA 410 SPRINT SPEEDWEEK FOLLOWS ON TUESDAY JULY 1

BRETT KRESSLEY AND COLIN COX CONTINUE AS GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY POINT LEADERS

BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – It will be a two day race weekend and a three division race night this Saturday at Grandview Speedway!

The weekend of racing action begins with the Outlaw Racing Series Enduro and Outlaw Racing Series Vintage cars in action on Friday, June 27 in a program that starts at 7 pm. Pit gates open at 2 pm, with grandstand gates opening at 5:30 pm. Grandstand admission will be $10, with children ages 12 and under admitted for free. Pit admission is $35 for the Friday event.

Grandview Speedway will then present a NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series program on Saturday, June 28 featuring the T.P. Trailer NASCAR Modifieds and the T.P. Truck Equipment NASCAR Sportsman along with a Saturday night visit by the Outlaw Racing Series Vintage cars.

The June 28 race meet will include qualifying events leading into a 30-lap T.P. Trailer Modified feature, a 25-lap feature for the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman, and a 15-lap Vintage main event.

Pit gates will open at 4 pm, with grandstand gates opening at 5:30 pm, warm-ups starting at 6:15 pm, and the first race of the evening getting the green flag at 7:30 pm.

Adult grandstand admission is $20, students 10-15 with ID are $10, while children ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $35 for NASCAR members and $45 for non-members.

The next race will be a Thunder on the Hill Racing Series event on Tuesday, July 1 with a visit by the powerful 410 Sprint Cars of the Pennsylvania Posse in the 35th running of PA Sprint Car Speed Week. The Speed Week event at Grandview is titled the Hodnett Cup and salutes the late driver who is one of the all-time winningest 410 Sprint drivers in Grandview history. The program will be sponsored by Alpine Building Supply and pay the winner of the 35-lap 410 Sprint Car main event a healthy $10,000!

The Tuesday night show will also include the 358 Modifieds in a NASCAR point event which includes qualifying races and a 30-lap $3000 to win main event. Alpine Building Supply has once again posted a first time Thunder Series winner’s bonus of $2000, making for a possible $5000 payday for the 358 Modified feature event!

Advance tickets are available for the PA Speed Week event by calling the Thunder on the Hill ticket line at 443-513-4456. Please speak clearly and leave your name and the number of tickets you will need for the July 1st event. You may then pay for and pick up the tickets on race night at the will call window at 4:15 pm. Advance ticket holders will be able to enter the grandstands starting at 4:30 pm, with general admission tickets going on sale and grandstand gates opening at 5 pm, with race time set for 7:30 pm.

Adult grandstand admission will be $30, children 6-11 are $10, while kids 5 and under will be admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $45 and a license is not required.

Grandview Speedway finally got back to racing this past week after suffering three straight Saturday rain outs, with John Willman scoring the T.P. Trailer Modified win in an exciting non-stop 30-lap feature race.

Brett Kressley scored a ninth place feature run and continues as the current T.P. Trailer Modified point leader, while Mike Gular scored a fifteenth place feature run to remain second in the points chase and Louden Reimert raced home to a fourth place effort to now sit third in the point standings.

Jared Umbenhauer scored an eighth place feature run and sits fourth in points while Craig Von Dohren ended up the night with a thirteenth place finish and holds down fifth in the point standings.

The following are the current top ten drivers in the T.P. Trailer Modified point standings – 1. Brett Kressley – 1323, 2. Mike Gular – 1238, 3. Louden Reimert – 1170, 4. Jared Umbenhauer – 1153, 5. Craig Von Dohren – 1150, 6. Logan Watt – 1095, 7. Duane Howard – 1080, 8. Eddie Strada – 848, 9. Doug Manmiller – 824, 10. Kyle Smith – 816.

The T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman held Twin 20-lap main events last Saturday night with Addison Meitzler scoring his first win of the season in feature one, while Jesse Landis picked up his second win of the year in feature number two.

Colin Cox continues as the T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman point leader after scoring eighth and fourth place feature finishes, while Mike Schneck Jr. moved to second in points after picking up two tenth place feature runs, and Nathan Mohr holds down third in points after scoring two twelfth place feature finishes.

Jesse Landis had a great night with a third and a win in the double features to move to fourth in points, while Kenny Gilmore had a solid night with ninth and second place feature finishes to now sit fifth in the point standings.

Jesse Landis – 1013, 5. Kenny Gilmore – 987, 6. Dylan Swinehart – 914, 7. Mike Stofflet – 893, 8. Brett Gilmore – 892, 9. Gavyn Krupp – 875, 10. TJ Mayberry – 870.

Next Saturday, July 5 will be T.P. Trailer & Truck Equipment Night with a NASCAR double-header featuring the T.P. Trailer Modifieds & T.P. Truck Equipment Sportsman starting at 7:30 pm.
