Riverhead, NY July 10th

Riverhead Raceway returns to action after a week off this Saturday Jul 12th in a big way with an action-packed program of NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series excitement. The presentation will come to a smashing conclusion when the first School Bus Demolition Derby of 2025 hits the track. The School Bus demos have become the most popular of the family entertainment attractions at the track over the last decade.

Once the stock car racing is concluded, the track will be cleared of all obstacles and the chariots that are 13-ton school buses will enter the coliseum of destruction. Of course, the visual spectacle the event provides is amazing, but what really grabs fans attention are the sounds that emanate when two or perhaps even three buses come together in grinding impacts. Among the combatants Saturday include “Redneck Renegade” Cutter Gera of Mount Sinai, the always popular “Pit Lizard Motorsports” Johnny Vullo of Bay Shore, “Frank the Tank” Frank Dumicich Jr. of East Quogue. “Short Round” Chris Lescenski of Riverhead and Andrew “Kaos” Coll of Shirley will be among those in competition.

Prior to the School Bus Demo madness, the stretch drive towards 2025 Riverhead Raceway championships gets underway. The 600-horsepower NASCAR Modifieds will contest a 50-lap feature event, while their companion Eagle Chevrolet Crate Modifieds go 25-laps Saturday. Four thrilling INEX feature events will take to the track led by the 20-lap Legend Race Car tilt who’ll be joined by the futures stars of the Bandolero Beginners, Bandits and Outlaws. The Beginners race a 10-lap event while Bandits and Outlaws are scheduled for 15 circuits each.

A 4/6-Cylinder Gut & Go Enduro provides wall-to-wall excitement just prior to the School Bus Demo while a JuiceBox Race opens the feature racing right after opening ceremonies that are now slated for 6:15 pm. Heat race qualifying sets feature event line-ups starting at 5:15 pm.

General admission gates open at 4:00 PM, adults are $30, kids 6-12 $20, 5 & under free. Further information, including revised guest policies and remaining 2025 family entertainment and racing events can be viewed at http://www.riverheadraceway.com. Emails reach the track at office@riverheadraceway.com, the phone number remains 631-842-RACE.
