NEW EGYPT, NJ – Down to the Wire.

The 2025 season at New Egypt Speedway has seen phenomenal racing throughout the year, and the championship battles reflect that heading into the final round of the respective title fights.

The five Saturday night divisions will see their 2025 championship chase come to a close on Saturday night, with three of the five titles still very much up for grabs.

The Modifieds headline the battles with two titans going at it in Danny Bouc and Ryan Godown.

The pair finished one-two last Saturday night, bringing Godown within two points of Bouc for the top spot in the standings. While a tie is still a possibility, the most likely scenario is whichever driver finishes ahead of the other will be the 2025 champion.

Billy Pauch Jr. sits third in the standings, now 36 markers behind Bouc, with still an outside chance at the title, though he will likely need help to pick up the title.

In Swagger Factory Apparel Crate Sportsman competition, Cream Ridge, N.J.’s Steve Davis paces the field by 19 markers over Ryan Simmons.

Simmons – the defending champion – has used a recent hot streak to close in on Davis with the championship on the line.

If Davis finishes eighth or better, he clinches the 2025 title. If he finishes ninth or worse, scenarios open up for Simmons to steal the title.

Matt Ellery, Mike Butler, Ethan Bill, and Pat Wall all sit in position to catch Simmons for the runner-up spot and have an outside chance at the championship.

Defending champion Mick D’Agostino holds a comfortable 40-point advantage in the Northeast Wingless Sprint (NEWS) division over Heidi Hedin.

D’Agostino will simply need to take the green flag in Saturday’s main event to claim the 2025 title and repeat as champion.

The Xtreme Diesel Performance (XDP) LLC., Street Stock championship chase will also come down to the wire, with Pat Force and Rob Ormsbee sitting just seven points apart.

Ormsbee’s recent hot streak has brought him within seven markers of Force for the top spot.

Force will need to win, or finish second, to clinch the championship. If Force finishes third, Ormsbee will win the championship with a win on Saturday night.

Last but not least, the Four Cylinder title fight has Joe Garey Sr. holding a 26 point edge over Bobby Drayton III. Garey can clinch the championship with 11th-place finish or better on Saturday night.

The entire event can be streamed LIVE on the New Egypt Speedway YouTube page (https://www.youtube.com/@NewEgyptSpeedway).

For the August 30 event, pit gates open at 3 p.m. with grandstands unlocking at 4 p.m. Hot laps are slated for 5:30 p.m. with racing to follow at 6:30 p.m.
