Saturday evening Racers Reunion Party at the 31st Lap Tavern
MIDDLETOWN, NY (June 1)……..On the evening before Escape Power Sports Plus presents the Sunday,
June 7 Big Series 3 races and 20th Annual Doug Dulgarian’s Nostalgia Night, everyone is invited to attend
a Racers Reunion Party at the famous 31st Lap Tavern on the fairgrounds property. The fun gathering begins
at 6:00 pm. A light menu will be available as well beverages.
Sixty or more former Orange County competitors have indicated they’ll be on hand for the Sunday festivities.
The latest drivers to join the list of attendees include Wayne Reutimann, Larry Brolsma, and Bud Christman, with
even more expected. Current Modified competitor Anthony Perrego will join the veterans during the two-hour
autograph session.
On Nostalgia Night, the speedway pits, stands, and unique Drive-In will open at 2:00 pm. Nostalgia Night
driver autographs will take place between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm. Race cars will be on the speedway at 4:45 pm,
with the evening’s first race taking the green flag at 6:00 pm. Following qualifying, the Modified feature will be
held first.
The full program of Big Series 3 races features DIRTcar Big-Block Modifieds, Tri-State Drywall Sportsman,
and Interstate Batteries of Southern New York Street Stocks in qualifying heats and feature races on the big
five-eighths-mile clay speedway.
Fans can expected a fast-paced program without any extended breaks. Qualifying races for the Modifieds and
Sportsman are eight laps, six laps for the Street Stocks. The feature races are 30 laps Modifieds, 20 laps
Sportsman, and 15 laps Street Stocks.
On race day, Sunday, June 7, General admission Adults $20 stands or Drive-In, Seniors $15, Children 12 and
under $5. Party Deck $30 each minimum of two. Parking on the grounds is free. Drive-In parking $5. Pit passes
$35. A Nostalgia Night poster will be available for fans to collect autographs from their favorite drivers.
