EVANS MILLS, NY – The Evans Mills Raceway Park is preparing to celebrate Father’s Day Weekend this Saturday June 20th with the annual Kevin Ward Jr. Legacy Race for the Christman Fuel Service INEX Legends. This unique race for the INEX Legend cars is a $1,313 to win National Qualifier event going the distance of 40 laps. INEX Legend drivers competing for national and state points must compete in National Qualifier races to count towards their yearly total in the standings. The Kevin Ward Jr. Legacy Race is the first of two such events on the EMRP calendar. The other Qualifier takes place on the Saturday of the John Burr Classic in September
The weekend’s events are being presented by our trusted partners at State CS Employees FCU, Wolff’s Body Shop, Westward Painting Co., and Herring Log Home Restoration. All other championship divisions at EMRP will be on the card including the Kinney Drugs Modifieds, LaFave Motor Sales Crown Vics, Stewart’s Shops Sport Compacts, and Excess Storage Thunderstocks.
Last year’s Kevin Ward Jr. Legacy Race was won by New England driver Brandon Martinez as part of a double header weekend.
State CS Employees FCU is a credit union catering to Watertown city and school employees, New York State workers, and their retirees and family, with two locations located off State St. in Watertown andthe Dulles State office building.
Wolff’s Body Shop is located in Croghan, NY and delivers professional and trusted service for collision, detail, and more. Wolff’s Body Shop also supports Kinney Drugs Modified driver Eli Petzoldt through his 2026 campaign.
Westward Painting Co. and Herring Log Home Restoration are both operated by members of the Ward family and have been committed to supporting this amazing event. Each year, the Ward family celebrates Kevin’s life at their home track honoring his passion for motorsports.
EMRP awards a BOCES student at the Howard G. Sackett Technical Center each year with a scholarship for a student in good academic and social standing in the Automotive Technology program, the same program Ward graduated from in 2012. This year Kylar Judware, won the annual award.
