Mark Hoch and Mike Meyers Collect Checkers

LANCASTER, N.Y. (June 13, 2026) – London, Ontario’s Mark Sammut won the Ed & Matt Serwacki Sr Memorial presented by Lotus of WNY for the ISMA Supermodifieds at Lancaster Motorplex on Saturday night. Mark Hoch from West Seneca, NY won his second Street Stock feature of the season. Mike Meyers from Kenmore, NY was declared the winner in the first race of the season for the Rusty Diamond Cores Pro 4s. 

Dave Danzer and Dan Connors Jr were on the front row for the ISMA Supermodified Ed & Matt Serwacki Sr Memorial, with Danzer in the lead ahead of Connors, Mark Sammut, Mike McVetta, and Tyler Shullick. Sammut would move into second, with McVetta and Shullick moving into the top four and pulling away from the field early on. Sammut would take the lead away on lap 14. McVetta would move into second, an Shullick would race his way into third on lap 19, as Sammut started to pull away from the field. Josh Sokolic would take over fifth place on lap 22. McVetta would close in on Sammut and while working lap traffic, would take the lead away on lap 40, but before the field got back to click lap 41 on the lap counter, Sammut would regain the lead. Sammut would hold off McVetta over the final laps to score the win, his third career Supermodified triumph at Lancaster. 

Kyle Schosek and Donnie Aquino shared the front row for the Street Stock 50-lap main event, with Aquino taking the lead with Dan Dressel racing his way to second. Dressel would take the lead away on lap eight, bringing Mike Piccirilli, Nathan Bryant, Mark Hoch, and Nik Welshans with him into the top five. Hunter McKay spun in turn three to bring out the races’ first caution on lap 11. The restart green would see Nathan Bryant and Mark Hoch going three-wide with Dressel, with Bryant taking the lead on lap 12. Mark Hoch would take the top spot away from Bryant on lap 14. Gary Bartella would loop his racer coming off turn four to bring out the caution on lap 21. Tim Garlock would challenge Bryant for second place at the midway mark, taking the runner up spot on lap 25. Hoch would hold off Bryant over the last 25 laps, including the final half of the race to score the win, his second of the season. 

Mike Meyers and David Milbrand brought the Rusty Diamond Cores Pro 4’s to the green flag for their main event under the lights, with Meyers in the lead ahead of Milbrand, Jeff Szafraniec, Eric Szychowski and Ben Adams. Milbrand would use the inside groove to take the lead away on lap three. The lead duo would pull away from the balance of the field. Connor Kurdziel would pass Szychowski to take over fourth place, with Caiden Ingerick racing in fifth. Milbrand would go on to what would appear to be the win, but was found to be illegal in post-race tech. Meyers was credited the win.  

Stock car racing continues at Lancaster Motorplex on Saturday, June 20 as the Sportsman and Late Models will headline the show plus the first visit of the season by the Mighty TQ Midgets and the Rusty Diamond Cores Pro 4s will also be in attendance. Pit gates will open at 2pm, with grandstands opening at 4pm, and racing will begin at 6pm.
