FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Thursday June 11th, 2026. Saturday night at Dominion Raceway, Brandon Pierce is on course to set the all time record for Z-Max CARS Tour Late Model Stock starts in his career beginning back in 2017 at South Boston Speedway. Pierce driving for Kevin Powell Speed Motorsports will make his 113th start surpassing former champion Deac McCaskill, becoming the proverbial ‘Iron Man” of the series. CARS Tour team owner, Kevin Powell reflected on how this is such a historic milestone.
“To set the all-time record for career starts in the CARS Tour is a tremendous accomplishment, Kevin Powell said, “Records like this don’t happen by accident. They come from years of hard work, sacrifice, perseverance, and an unwavering love for racing. Brandon has done all of this while competing at a high level and earning the respect of everyone around him. Not only is he a great race car driver, but he’s also just such a quality person and one of the most respected competitors in our sport. We are so proud that he’s representing KP Speed Motorsports as he reaches this historic milestone. It’s also an honor to be a part of such a special moment in CARS Tour history, too.”

If you would have told me in 2016 when I started racing late models that I would one day be the all time start leader in the most competitive short track series in the country, I would not have believed you. However thanks to a lot of great sponsors, partnerships, race teams, and hard work I have achieved what I once thought was not possible. I am excited to get to Dominion this weekend, take in the moment, and enjoy this achievement with my family and my team.”
Action begins this weekend when the Z-Max CARS Tour Late Model Stocks hit Dominion Raceway for practice for the Mini’s Mission Burning Rubber to Help Another 125 at 1pm with qualifying, pre race activities and an autograph session to follow before racing.
