— Gullo and Connolly also take home wins —

TIOGA CENTER, N.Y. (July 25, 2026) — On Saturday night, the Race of Champions Sportsman Modifieds, the FOAR Score Dash Series, and Shangri-La’s very own Hobby Stocks took to the half-mile concrete oval.

The 30-lap main event featuring the Sportsmen saw Nick Morich on the pole.  And that is where he would stay for the duration of the race.

Off the line, Morich kept ahead, but Evan Rygielski was right there, just waiting for Morich to make a mistake to sneak into the lead.

Both stayed like that until a caution came out on Lap 4, giving Rygielski the advantage that he was looking for.  However, Morich had other plans.  He went into the corners low, and came out of them mid-track.  This method worked out in his favor.

Morich was able to keep his lead, even when he came upon lap traffic as he crossed the start/finish line to begin Lap 22.

The Horseheads, NY, native picked up his first career RoC Sportsman victory.

“[It feels] wonderful [to win],” said Morich. “I was just trying not to overdrive it, [and so we were] perfect here.”

Rounding out the top three were

●      Evan Rygielski — Wilkes-Barre, PA

●      Mason Hanel — Clarence Center, NY

Other winners for the night included:

FOAR Score Dash Series: Trisha Connolly — Palmerton, PA

Hobby Stocks: Anthony Gullo — Elmira, NY

ALL RACE RESULTS FROM SATURDAY, JULY 25, 2026 AT SHANGRI-LA II SPEEDWAY REMAIN UNOFFICIAL.

Next up on the Race of Champions schedule is Spencer Speedway, this Friday night, July 31, for Autograph Night with its “Family of Series.”
