50-LAP FORREST ROGERS MEMORIAL MODIFIED CHAMPIONSHIP IS AUGUST 8

BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – Grandview Speedway will start a busy month of August with a NASCAR Modified & Sportsman program which includes a fan favorite bonus!

The month begins this Saturday, August 1 with a NASCAR Local Racing Series Powered by O’Reilly Auto Parts program featuring the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment NASCAR Modifieds and Sportsman both running qualifying events leading into a 30-lap T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modified feature and a 25-lap feature for the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman, as well as the Low-Down Entertainment one on one Match Races for the Modified division.

The one-on-one T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modified match races presented by Low-Down Entertainment, known as the Low-Down Throw Down, will see the top seven drivers in T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modified points plus the three fastest drivers timed through that evening’s hot lap session that are not in the top seven in points participating in the match races.

The overall winner will get a top prize of $500, plus additional prizes including an American Racer tire certificate, and a bottle of Inferno Armor.

Another bonus of $200 has been posted by Jimbo’s Exteriors for any driver that can go undefeated in the match races.

Sponsors for the Low-Down Throw Down include MB Roofing, Baer Den Farms, Stringers Collision Center, Hoffman Speed Supplies, Bear’s Inferno Armor, and American Racer.

Saturday’s program will see adult grandstand admission at $20, students 10-15 with ID will be $10, while children ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $35 for NASCAR members and $45 for non-members.

Pit gates will open at 4 pm, with grandstand gates opening at 5:30 pm, warm-ups starting at 6:15 pm, and the first race of the evening getting the green flag at 7:30 pm.

This Saturday night prior to the racing program will be the Low-Down Entertainment meet and greet hosted by Brittany Huber and Jennifer Umbenhauer.  The drivers scheduled to participate this week are Modified drivers Eric Kormann and Dylan Swinehart along with Sportsman drivers Decker Swinehart and Mark Mohr.

The pre-race Meet and Greet is held in the main gate area from 5-6 pm and is a great time for fans to meet the drivers up close, collect some autographs, take photos, and talk racing with their favorite drivers before the night’s program gets underway.

Low-Down Entertainment is also organizing a Backpack Giveaway. This will take place on Saturday, August 15 during the Meet & Greet. Anyone wishing to donate supplies or make a monetary donation can do so by contacting one of the members of the LDE crew – Jennifer, Brittany, Bear, Joe or Jean or during one of the Meet & Greets leading up to August 15.

Next Saturday, August 8 will see the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modifieds running the 56th annual Forrest Rogers Memorial, a 50-lap $10,000 to win Championship event along with a full program for the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman starting at 7:30 pm.
