GRANBY, QUEBEC – Off to Canada.

The Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco invades the province of Quebec for the annual ‘Lumberjack Swing’ Tuesday, July 28 at Autodrome Granby (Granby, Quebec) and Wednesday, July 29 at Le RPM Speedway (Saint-Marcel-de-Richelieu, Quebec).

The HYTORC of New York North Region STSS Modifieds compete in a pair of 60-lap $10,000-to-win events. The STSS Sportsman of the Madsen Overhead Doors Inc. North Region – for the first time ever – join their Modified counterparts in Quebec.

The STSS has competed in Canada annually since 2023 with a trio of stops at Autodrome Granby and two at Le RPM (the ’24 event fell to rain).

Winners have included Matt Sheppard (Autodrome Granby ’25), Stewart Friesen (Le RPM ’25), David Hebert (Autodrome Granby ’24), Sheppard (Autodrome Granby ’23) and Mat Williamson (Le RPM ’23).

Alex Yankowski of Covington Township, Pa., leads the HYTORC of New York STSS Modified North Region standings into Quebec following the most recent stop at N.Y.’s Fonda Speedway on July 16. Yankowski holds a 10-point advantage over defending champion Sheppard.

In seven STSS Modified events this season, there have been no repeat winners.

The Madsen Overhead Doors Inc. North Region for the STSS Sportsman is topped by Blaine Klinger of Walton, N.Y., by 11 points over Keystone State driver Tyler Peet.

Complete STSS standings are available on the series website: https://www.shorttracksuperseries.com/standings/

Both ‘Lumberjack Swing’ events will be broadcast live by FloRacing.

The tire rule for STSS Modifieds and STSS Sportsman in Quebec is as follows: right-rear: American Racer 56; left-rear American Racer 48; right-front American Racer 48; and left-front: any American Racer tire.
