FONDA, NY – On to the next.
A day of wet – and at times severe – weather led to Saturday night’s (July 18) cancelation of Townline Equipment Night at Fonda Speedway. Officials made the decision early on Saturday after reviewing multiple forecast models. The event was to include a complete program of weekly divisions plus the Empire Super Sprints (ESS) 360 Sprint Cars.
Attention now turns to one of the season’s most anticipated events at the Track of Champions on Saturday, July 25.
One Zee Tees and AIM Autism present Autism Awareness Night, featuring a full day of activities leading up to on-track competition.
From 1-4 p.m., the Fonda Fair Entertainment Building hosts a chicken barbecue, dunk tank, live music, silent auction, four-wheeler raffle and more.
All proceeds will be donated to the Crossroads Center for Children in Schenectady, N.Y.
Attention then turns to racing with the Amsterdam Truck Center Modifieds, Swagger Factory Apparel Sportsman, Leatherstocking Credit Union Pro Stocks, Montgomery County Office for Aging Inc. Limited Sportsman and Fonda Fair Four Cylinders on the card.
Early pit pass sales begin at 2 p.m. All gates unlock at 4 p.m. Hot laps hit the track at 6 p.m., with racing at 7 p.m.
Grandstand admission is $15. Seniors (ages 65 and over) pay $13. Kids 11 and under are FREE.
Infield drive-in admission is $65 and includes four passes.
Pit admission is $40 (Non-Members), $35 (Members) and $10 (Kids 11 and under).

The Track of Champions Fonda Speedway has hosted the best in stock car racing for 75 seasons. The speedway operates weekly on Saturday nights from April through August plus several special events.
