SEEKONK, MASS. — The first trip to Seekonk Speedway in seven years for the Granite State Pro Stock Series presented by Hudson International Speedway produced the series’ fourth different winner in four races so far this season.

On the first night of the MDP Motorsports Promotions Triple Crown, Joey Polewarczyk unseated the reigning king of the “Cement Palace” for his first GSPSS win of 2026 and the tenth of his career.

The 2020 GSPSS champion from Hudson, N.H. shook off the frustrations of the last two races to put on a clinic at the “Action Track of the East,” dominating from start to finish at a track where he had won before in Late Model competition.

Multi-time Seekonk Pro Stock track champion David Darling, fresh off his 100th feature win at his hometown track, proved to be Polewarczyk’s biggest threat, even making a play at the lead inside of 30 laps to go. But the touring veteran kept Darling from building his legacy, charging back to the point and fending off Darling’s advances in the closing laps.

In the end, “Joey Pole” held on for his tenth career GSPSS win, moving him to second all-time on the series’ win list.

Darling finished second, with young Seekonk star Jacob “Rowdy” Burns made his GSPSS debut with a third-place performance.

Bobby Pelland III finished fourth, while Mike Mitchell fought his way to a fifth-place finish. Dylan Estrella, 2024 GSPSS champ Casey Call, Connor McDougal, Tom Carey III and points leader Jeremy Sorel rounded out the top ten.

Polewarczyk moves to second overall in the standings as Sorel shows the way with seven races remaining on the calendar.

Wednesday’s race was the first of the MDP Motorsports Promotions Triple Crown, a three-race stretch that positions the GSPSS as the preamble to the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, with $5,000 in bonus payouts to the top five point-scoring drivers.

The Triple Crown continues next Friday night, July 10, as the GSPSS returns home to Claremont Motorsports Park in New Hampshire’s Upper Valley.
