- For the first time since 2021, the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour returns to historic Stafford Speedway this
Friday, Aug. 28 for the running of the GAF 150. The event is the 13th race of the 2026 season. - The GAF 150 is the 136th NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour event held at Stafford Speedway dating back to 1985.
During that time, 37 different drivers have visited Victory Lane at the half-mile asphalt. - NASCAR Hall of Famer Mike Stefanik leads all drivers with 20 victories at Stafford Speedway. Ted Christopher
and Doug Coby are tied for second with 12 victories each. - Previous Stafford Speedway winners entered in Friday’s race include Doug Coby, as well as Justin Bonsignore,
Eric Goodale and Patrick Emerling. - Doug Coby has made more NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour starts at Stafford Speedway, 61, than any other
driver entered in Friday’s race. Eric Goodale is second of those entered in the GAF 150 with 46 career starts. - Entering Friday’s event, Patrick Emerling and Austin Beers are now tied atop the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour
standings. New Hampshire Motor Speedway winner Jon McKennedy is third, 24 points behind the championship
leaders. - Patrick Emerling and Jon McKennedy are tied for the most victories this season with three triumphs each. Austin
Beers leads all drivers with eight top five finishes while Emerling and Beers are tied for the most top 10 finishes
with 10. - Despite being winless this season, Austin Beers leads all drivers with a 5.9 average finish through the first 12
races of the 2026 NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour season. The defending Modified Tour champion has only one
previous series start at Stafford Speedway, a 13th place finish in 2021.
- Matt Hirschman continues to lead all drivers with four American Racer Pole Awards in 12 races this season.
Austin Beers, who has won the last two American Racer Pole Awards at Thompson Speedway Motorsports Park
and New Hampshire Motor Speedway, ranks second with three poles. - Only two drivers – Austin Beers and Eric Goodale – have completed every possible lap during the 2026 NASCAR
Whelen Modified Tour season. - Several drivers entered in Friday’s GAF 150 have won track championships at Stafford Speedway. They include
Doug Coby, Ronnie Williams, Stephen Kopcik, Andrew Molleur, Teddy Hodgdon and Cory Dimatteo. - Of the 25 drivers entered in Friday’s race, 16 of them have visited Victory Lane at Stafford across local and
touring divisions at the historic half-mile oval. Doug Coby leads those 16 drivers with 31 career victories at the
track. - Friday’s race at Stafford Speedway serves as round three of the FloRacing Connecticut Challenge, a four-race
miniseries exclusive to the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour events in Connecticut. The champion of the series will
earn an extra $7,500. After two of four events, Matt Hirschman leads the FloRacing Connecticut Challenge
standings.
