CHAMPIONSHIP NIGHT THIS SATURDAY AT GRANDVIEW SPEEDWAY SEES SIX DRIVERS WITH CHANCE AT POINT TITLES – FREEDOM 76 & 38 SEPTEMBER 18 & 19

BECHTELSVILLE, PA. – The track championships will be decided this Saturday night at Grandview Speedway, with an amazing six drivers having a chance to win the two track titles.

The T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modified division will see Eddie Strada lead the point standings into this Saturday night’s program with just an 80-point lead over second place Logan Watt and a 110-point advantage over third place Jeff Strunk, with these three drivers being the only ones able to capture the championship.

In the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Sportsman division, Joe Toth will be leading the standings entering this Saturday’s point finale, after regaining the point lead following last week’s program. Toth holds a 54-point advantage over second place man Addison Meitzler and a 63-point advantage over last year’s Champion Colin Cox who currently sits third in points.

The action will be intense for both divisions as the point titles are decided, with a maximum of 310 points available (300 feature+10 heat), and last place offering 30 points in the feature events.

The racing program on Championship Night this Saturday, September 12 will be another NASCAR Local Racing Series Powered by O’Reilly Auto Parts program that will feature the T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment Modified & Sportsman along with the Outlaw Racing Series Vintage cars.

Pit gates will open at 3:30 pm, with grandstand gates opening at 5 pm, warm-ups starting at 5:45 pm, and the first race of the evening getting the green flag at 7 pm.

Adult grandstand admission is $20, students 10-15 with ID are $10, while children ages 9 and under are admitted free of charge. Pit admission is $35 for NASCAR members and $45 for non-members.

The 56th annual Freedom 76 weekend of racing is set to go the following week starting with the Freedom 38 Sportsman Championship on Friday, September 18, and the Freedom 76 Modified Championship on Saturday, September 19, with a rain date of September 26.

The Freedom 76 weekend begins on Friday, September 18 with the 13th annual Freedom 38 Sportsman Championship. The race program will follow the Freedom 76 race format with qualifying heats, consolations, Roy Miller II of Keller Williams Real Estate $500 to win cash dash, the Patriot 20, all leading up to the 38-lap Championship feature event, plus practice time for 358 Modified drivers wishing to participate in the Freedom 76.

Saturday, September 19 will feature the 56th annual Freedom 76 358 Modified Championship. The program includes qualifying heats, consolations, GT Radiator Repair $1000 to win cash dash, and the Schaeffer’s Motorsports Minuteman 20, all leading up to the 76-lap Championship main event.

Those wishing to camp at the Speedway for the Freedom weekend of racing please note: All campers & tents must be parked and set up in the fourth turn area only, while campers can begin to enter the grounds in the fourth turn area on Saturday, September 12 and remain there until the 19th. However, because there are no hookups, sleeping in the campers can only take place on September 17-19.

The T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment NASCAR Modifieds saw Jared Umbenhauer capture his second win last Saturday night, moving him to seventh spot in the current point standings, while Eddie Strada maintained the point lead after suffering a flat tire and charging back through the field for a tenth-place feature finish.

Logan Watt maintained second position in points following a fifth-place feature run, while Jeff Strunk scored a strong third-place feature finish to hold down position three in the current standings, while Rick Laubach scored an eighth-place feature result to move back to fourth in the point standings, with Anthony Perrergo not scoring a top ten run after also having to make a mid-race pitstop and still holds down third in the current point standings.

The T.P. Trailers & Truck Equipment NASCAR Sportsman saw yet another first-time career feature winner when Xavier Sprague captured the win last Saturday night after a great side-by-side dual with Matthew Laubach.

As mentioned, the top three drivers in points traded places again after last week’s show, with Joe Toth now leading the points after scoring an eighth-place feature run, with Addison Meitzler and Collin Cox sitting second and third in points after missing out on top ten feature finishes last week.

Teague Miller scored a ninth-place feature run to sit fourth in points, while Decker Swinehart moved back to fifth place in points after also missing out on a top ten feature finish.
