Monday, October 5th, 2026: Brandon Ward and the #04 Pollaris Off Road, Q104.1, Foothill Ford, Kevin Powell Speed Motorsports entry are now locked in a four-way tie for the points lead in the SMART Modified Tour powered by Pace-O-Matic. “We’re in this.” Those were the words of crew chief Will Spaugh after Brandon Ward finished fourth and became the highest finishing playoff racer at the conclusion of the Rumble in Rougemont at Orange County Speedway.
This week the team rolls into Tri County Motor Speedway for the Freeman Hoosier Hundred. “Will Spaugh and all these KP Speed Motorsports guys do an amazing job, ” said Ward. “We’re going into these last few races feeling confident in what we’ve learned and got to build on here. We’re going into what I think are two good tracks for us. I just have to thank everybody that makes this happen for us. Hopefully we can finish this year off strong and get two more wins or two more good runs this season.”
Ward, who only ran a partial SMART Modified Tour season last year in exchange of winning another Modified Championship at Bowman Gray Stadium, is excited for a return to Tri County Motor Speedway. “We are excited to be back at Tri County Speedway this weekend.” Said Ward, it’s been a few years since I’ve raced there and I’m really looking forward to it. Being in a four-way tie for the points lead is definitely a unique situation and should provide an exciting race for the fans. Will Spaugh and all the guys here at KP Speed Motorsports have been working hard and we are prepared and we’re ready.”
The race for the championship continues this weekend at Tri County Motor Speedway for the SMART Modified Tour powered by Pace-O-Matic. Gates open at 10am Saturday with pracitce beginning at 2:15pm. Qualifying will begin at 4:30pm with the pit party beginning at 5:30. The night’s racing program will begin at 6:30pm with ontrack introductions.
