SHREVEPORT, LA – The Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco ‘Cajun Region’ is set to kick off its second season.

Day Motor Sports of Tyler, Texas returns as the presenting sponsor of the season-long points chase for the ‘Cajun Region’ competitors in 2022.

Caleb Dillard of Robeline, La., was crowned champion in the inaugural ‘Cajun Region’ season. Dillard’s efforts awarded him with a $2,000 top prize after winning the 10-race championship.

A first-year total point fund of $8,000 was distributed to the top-10 finishers in the 2021 ‘Cajun Region’ standings.

A 13-race schedule is set to span across three different states (Louisiana, Texas, and Arkansas) for the ‘Cajun Region’ drivers in the new season.

The season kicks off in the Lone Star State at Superbowl Speedway on Saturday, March 26. The visit to Greenville, Texas will be the first of three appearances for the ‘Cajun Region’ in Texas.

The newly renamed Rocket Raceway Park (June 18) in Petty, Texas, and Big O Speedway (October 15) in Ennis, Texas also host the STSS ‘Cajun Region,’ with the latter of the two serving as championship night of the series.

The first-ever ‘Cajun Region’ race in the state of Arkansas will take place in 2022. 67 Speedway of Texarkana, Ark., hosts the STSS ‘Cajun Region’ in late September, the penultimate race of the 2022 points season.

Familiar stops in Louisiana return to the 2022 schedule including Thunder Valley Speedway, Super Bee Speedway, and Ark-La-Tex Speedway.

Sabine Speedway, under new management, and Boothill Speedway will also join as new venues to host the STSS ‘Cajun Region’ in the Bayou State.
