MIDDLETOWN, NY – Finale, fast-forward.

For the third consecutive weekend, the Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco has fallen victim to rain, this time at Orange County Fair Speedway.

A wet Friday forecast led STSS organizer Brett Deyo – in conjunction with OCFS management – to postpone the ‘Hard Clay Finale’ event to Friday, Nov. 10. The event will carry a rain/weather date of Sunday, Nov. 12.

As the final round of the STSS River Valley Builders North Region championship $15,000 battle, the decision was made to decide the final standings on the track.

The 50-lap STSS Modified event offers $10,000 minimum to the winner thanks to www.bdrspeed.com and $500 bonuses to each of the top-10 finishers thanks to Behrent’s Performance Warehouse (must display decal to be eligible).

Joining the STSS Modifieds on the five-eighths-mile oval will be Crate 602 Sportsman, under OCFS rules, competing for $1,000 to win. This will be a draw/redraw event.

Complete ‘Hard Clay Finale’ information will be released in the coming days.

Next up for the STSS is a visit to Del.’s Georgetown Speedway for the annual ‘Mid-Atlantic Championship’ weekend at the Sussex County half-mile oval on Fri.-Sat., Oct. 27-28.

The weekend includes a 30-lap PA/NJ Spec Small-Block main event, and a 40-lap Stockley Speed Supply Super Late Model feature event to go along with the STSS Modifieds and STSS Crate 602 Sportsman.

The STSS Modifieds run heat races on Friday, leading into final qualifying on Saturday before the 40-lap, $7,000-to-win (with the posted Gambler’s Fee) feature event to conclude the Rent Equip/Party Central South Region championship chase.

The STSS Crate 602 Sportsman go for 25 laps and a $2,000 top prize to round out the Belmont’s Garage South Region.

The entire weekend of racing, along with every STSS race in 2023, will be broadcast LIVE on FloRacing (www.floracing.tv).
