Hot off a successful debut race on August 28th track owners and promoters, Adam and Rebecca Stewart are once again adding the 270 and 600 Restricted micro sprints to the racing card this Sunday, September 18th at Mountain Creek Speedway. After more renovations to the speedway management made the decision to experiment with larger cars for the first time. The results proved to be positive as the 270-division put on a very competitive race with drivers and promoters pleased with the outcome.
“I thought it was great,” said Adam Stewart. “The micro’s proved they could run two competitive heat races and a main event. We only had one caution in the feature and that was for a stopped car on track.” We were pleased and hope to keep building on it.” Over the past year, Mountain Creek Speedway has seen numerous renovations to the track like an expanded pit area, observation decks, paved grids, sign in building, live streaming and most recently, reinforced walls. Over the winter months the plan is to install a new fencing system for micro sprint racing to be added to the Sunday card for 2023.
The 270cc and Restricted 600 micro sprints take to the track this Sunday, September 18th. Gates open at 12:30pm with practice starting at 3pm. All divisions’ races will be streamed live on www.mountiancreekspeedway.tv at 4pm. The track will also be available for testing and practice days throughout the year.
