PORT ROYAL, PA – Money and bonuses continue to roll in for the third annual ‘Speed Showcase’ weekend at Port Royal Speedway.
The Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco heads to the ‘Speed Palace’ for a full weekend of racing on Thurs.-Sat. Oct. 13-15.
Belmont’s Garage, the title sponsor of the South Region for the STSS Crate 602 Sportsman, has signed on to present the Sportsman Qualifying Races on Friday night (Oct. 14).
Bob Hilbert Sportswear presents the Friday program, which includes 20-lap qualifiers for the STSS Modifieds, 15-lap qualifiers for the STSS Crate 602 Sportsman, a full 410 Sprint Car program, and practice laps for the Pro Stocks, based in New York.
Each of the 15-lap qualifying winners for the STSS Crate 602 Sportsman will receive $250 cash courtesy of Belmont’s Garage.

The weekend of racing begins on Thursday (Oct. 13) when Behrent’s Performance Warehouse presents Preliminary Night for the ‘Speed Showcase’ weekend.
The STSS big-block/small-block Modifieds race for 40-laps around the sprawling Juniata County half-mile oval in search of a $6,000 payday. The STSS Crate 602 Sportsman also join the program for timed hot laps.
After Bob Hilbert Sportswear Qualifying Night on Friday, attention turns to Saturday’s (Oct. 15) headline event.
Following final consolation races to set the field of cars, the STSS Modifieds battle for 75-laps in search of the $50,000 winner’s share.
The STSS Crate 602 Sportsman tackle the ‘Speed Palace’ as well for 50-laps and a $4,000 top prize in the Ice Less LLC ‘Speed Showcase 50.’
The New York-based Pro Stocks round out the program with a full show on tap, concluding with a 30-lap, $1,200-to-win feature event.
Sunday (Oct. 16) is reserved as a rain date of the weekend.
