Racing, and the Hodges, Return to Chemung in 2024”

by Carol Houssock

Several weeks ago, things were uncertain regarding racing at Chemung Speedrome in 2024, and beyond. Promoter Ray Hodge had announced that he and track owner, John White, could not come to terms on a new contract.

That all changed, and Hodge is pleased to inform the racing community that he and his wife, Ellen, will be back at the helm. “John and I have negotiated the terms of a new contract that will keep racing at Chemung alive and well for the foreseeable future,” Hodge stated. The parties settled on terms that are fair to both. “The details will remain between John and me,” Hodge added.

Racers can begin to prepare for the 2024 season, one which will include no major changes. “I will immediately start working on the 2024 schedule. We’re moving forward in keeping racing alive and, hopefully, stronger than ever.”

Further information will be forthcoming. The wait is over and a good outcome was achieved.
