GEORGETOWN, DE – Title time.
The 2023 divisional championships will be settled at Georgetown Speedway during the upcoming ‘12k for the 12k’ Gary Simpson Memorial taking place on Saturday, Nov. 11. The event brings down the curtain on the ’23 season at the refurbished Sussex County venue.
The twice rescheduled ‘12k for the 12k’ offers Millman’s NAPA Auto Parts Modifieds a $12,000 winner’s share for 32 laps plus the Blue Hen Dispose-All Crate 602 Sportsman (22 laps, $1,212 to win), First State Chevrolet Crate Late Models (20 laps, up to $1,000 to win), Southern Delaware Vintage Stock Cars, Little Lincolns, Delaware Super Trucks and Delmarva Chargers.
In the Millman’s NAPA Auto Parts Modified division, recent ‘Mid-Atlantic Championship’ winner Danny Bouc of Pipersville, Pa., leads Ryan Godown of Ringoes, N.J., by just two points (502-500). Ryan Krachun of Neshanic, N.J., sits 27 points back in third.
Joe Toth of Upper Makefield, Pa., holds a 44-point edge over Greg Humlhanz of Chalfont, Pa., in the Blue Hen Dispose-All Crate 602 Sportsman division (593-549).
Trevor Collins of Seaford, Del., is the First State Chevrolet Crate Late Model point leader by 55 points over Matt Hill (370-315).
For the Nov. 11 finale, Championship Points will be up for grabs on the 150-point schedule. The breakdown follows: 1. 150; 2. 145; 3. 140; 4. 135; 5. 130; 6. 125; 7. 120; 8. 116; 9. 112; 10. 108; 11. 104; 12. 100; 13. 96; 14. 92; 15. 88; 16. 84; 17. 80; 18. 77. 19. 74; 20. 71; 21. 68; 22. 65; 23. 62; 24. 60 (through last). Drivers failing to qualify will receive 35 points.

Pit gates open at 1 p.m., with grandstand gates unlocked at 2 p.m. Hot laps begin at 4 p.m. and racing gets underway at 5 p.m.
Grandstand admission is $28. Seniors (ages 65 and older) and Students (ages 13-17) pay $22. Kids (ages 9-12) pay $10 and Children ages 8 and under are FREE.
Pit admission is $45 (ages 13 and up), $40 (NASCAR members), $10 Kids (ages 6-12) and $2 for Children ages 5 and under.
