$15,000-to-Win for the Race of Champions Modified Series
North East, Pa. – (April 8, 2024) – With the solar eclipse now behind everyone in the region it is time to start the region’s race season in “totality”.
The Race of Champions Modified Series is set to begin it’s 2024 campaign this coming Saturday, April 13 with the a 250-lap, $15,000-to-win event at one of the nicest tracks in the region in North East, Pa., at Lake Erie Speedway.
“We always look forward to this race,” explained Matt Hirschman, who has won the race more than any other driver – eight times. “It’s a long race, but on a great racetrack and with the rules that are in place, it has definitely become a strategy race. You’ve got to have a fast car and then some of the breaks need to go your way. We are looking forward to it and excited to be there and get even more of the Modified racing season going.”
Gates will open at 11:30 am for spectators with qualifying beginning at 1:30pm and the 250-lap feature slated to begin at 5:30 pm.
The Race of Champions FOAR SCORE Four Cylinder Dash Series will join the card and race for $600-to-win and $100-to-start in the Fred Rounds Classic.
The Race of Champions Street Stock Series will compete for $500-to-win.
There will be a practice for any division on Friday, April 12, it is not restricted to cars running on Saturday, April 13. Pit gates for practice will open at 12:00pm (Noon) with practice running from 3:00pm until dusk.
