ZANE ZEINER DRIVERS TO VICTORY LANE IN THE CROSBY’S STORES PRESENTS THE TRIBUTE TOMMY DRUAR AND TONY JANKOWIAK SPONSORED BY COCA-COLA 110 AT HOLLAND INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY

– Brian Hoffman, Race of Champions Street Stocks and Andrew Lewis, Jr., Race of Champions FOAR Score Four Cylinder Dash Series visit Victory Lane at Holland –

Holland, N.Y. (July 31, 2022) – It has been 11-years since Zane Zeiner of Bath, Pa., visited victory lane in a Race of Champions Modified Series event and it was a big one, the Race of Champions. This past Saturday, Zeiner piloted his way to victory lane on the high banks of Holland (N.Y.) International Speedway in the Crosby’s Stores presents the 33rd Annual Tribute to Tommy Druar and Tony Jankowiak sponsored by Coca-Cola.

Zeiner worked his past defending race champion, Andy Jankowiak of Buffalo, N.Y., on lap 99 and went on to the victory.

“This is a great win for us,” stated Zeiner in victory lane. “We had a great car tonight and things really did go our way. We had a situation with our left front during qualifying that we were able to repair before the qualifying race. In the feature the car was outstanding and the crew gave me everything I needed to go get to victory lane. Andy (Jankowiak) ran me clean and respectful and I’m thankful for that.”

Jack Ely of Wall Township, N.J., led the first 64 laps before Jankowiak took over.

Danny Knoll, Jr., of Amherst, N.Y., worked his way through the field from 10th to finish 2nd. Jankowiak ended up 3rd. Austin Beers of Northampton, Pa., the defending Series champions finished 4th and Ely rounded out the top-five.

Brian Hoffman of South Wales, N.Y., topped the 37-lap Race of Champions Street Stock feature. Tim Welshans of South Wales, N.Y., 2nd. with Nik Welshans of West Seneca, N.Y., 3rd.

Andrew Lewis, Jr., of Ontario, N.Y., topped Nick Robinson of Waverly, N.Y., in Race of Champions FOAR Score Four Cylinder Dash Series competition. Joey Bevacqua of Rome, Pa., finished 3rd.

The next race for the Race of Champions family of Series Friday, August 5th, at Spencer Speedway with the running of “Kids Night” Part II. The Race of Champions Sportsman Modified Series will highlight the evening with a 30-lap feature, while the Race of Champions FOAR Score Four Cylinder Dash Series will finish their program from Friday, July 1. The Race of Champions “Rocket Performance” 602 Sportsman Modified Series division will run their make up feature from Friday, July 1, as well as a new program. The Wilbert’s U-Pull It Four Cylinders and Wilbert’s U-Pull It Super Six division will also be in competition along with the annual appearance of the Vintage racers.

Holland, N.Y. – (July 29, 2022) – The Crosby’s presents the 33rd Annual Tribute to Tommy Druar and Tony Jankowiak sponsored by Coca-Cola will be shown on www.rocmodifiedseries.tv  this Saturday, July 30 from Holland (N.Y.) International Speedway and not on the FloRacing MAVTPlus network as originally scheduled. 

“After speaking with Bob Dillner at MAVTV we agreed that we want the production to be right and not face challenges,” explained Joe Skotnicki, Race of Champions. “There are multiple pieces of equipment and many moving elements to make this happen properly and that is our goal. We apologize for any confusion this may have created, however the race will be shown on our own network.” 

Dillner, who is the director of programming for MAVTV further explained, “The Race of Champions is something we want to focus on, but we also want to make sure that the fans experience is premium, therefore, we have adjusted the original schedule in regard to this weekend to ensure we meet the criteria that we have set forth.” 

The first race that will air on FloRacing MAVTV Plus will be the running of the Ol’ Boy Cup 60 at Lancaster (N.Y.) Motorplex on Saturday, August 13, 2022.

T’S TIME FOR THE 33RD ANNUAL TRIBUTE TO TOMMY DRUAR AND TONY JANKOWIAK PRESENTED BY CROSBY STORES AND COCA-COLA AT HOLLAND INTERNATIONAL SPEEDWAY

– Race of Champions Modified Series, Race of Champions Street Stocks and Race of Champions FOAR Score Four Cylinder Dash Series on the Exciting Card – 

Holland, N.Y. – (July 23, 2022) – Race fans and competitors are looking forward to returning the “high-banks” of Holland (N.Y.) International Speedway for the second time this season in anticipation of what has become one of the biggest nights of racing along with one of the greatest traditions in Western New York, the running of the 33rd Annual Tribute to Tommy Druar and Tony Jankowiaki presented by Crosby Stores and Coca-Cola. 

The Race of Champions Modified Series will compete for 110-laps. 

“This is a night that the racing community always looks forward to and so does our family,” stated Mickey Druar, widow to Tommy Druar. “The people are incredible, it is a great night of racing and a wonderful celebration of Tommy and Tony’s lives. Our families are extremely thankful that this tradition has carried on for so long. We look forward to seeing everyone Saturday at Holland.” 

Mike Leaty of Williamson, N.Y., has posted two victories this season, while Patrick Emerling of Orchard Park, N.Y., won the Series most recent race at Spencer Speedway. Leaty, currently holds the point lead and is looking for another strong run at Holland. 

“It’s definitely a tire management run,” stated Leaty. “There are no tire changes, so it’s up to the driver to hang on and keep the car under them so you have something at the finish. It will be a challenge with a lot of good racecars in the field. We’ll be ready to go.” 

The Race of Champions Street Stocks will run their final race of the season at Holland with a 37-lap feature for $500-to-win. Tim Welshan’s of South Wales, N.Y., scored the victory in the first race and holds the point lead for the three race Series. The FOAR Score Club of Western New York will be collecting and assembling the point fund for the division for the 2022 season. The champion will be honored at the season ending Championship Celebration for the Race of Champions and will receive all of the accolades for their efforts. 

The Race of Champions FOAR Score Four Cylinder Dash Series will make their second of three appearances at Holland, with $360.60 going to the winner with continued support from DC&H Consulting in Williamsville, N.Y. Bob Palmer of Buffalo, N.Y., won a thrilling event on Saturday, July 9 over Nick Robinson of Waverly, N.Y. 

Grandstand gates will open at 5:00pm with qualifying races slated to roll at 6:30pm. 

The race will be streamed live on FloRacing on the MAVTV Plus programming network.
