N. Woodstock, NH — After a spectacular Memorial Day weekend, Thunder is ready to return to the Mountains this Saturday, June 1, headlined by the $1,000-to-Win Ammonoosuc Asphalt Mini Late Model Special! The 50-lap special event is sure to attract some of the top four-cylinder talent from across New England to New Hampshire’s Favorite Short Track this Saturday night along with continued track championship action for the Late Models, Flying Tigers, Strictly Minis and Kids Division!

2022 Mini Late Model champion Nick Anderson made a statement on opening weekend after dominating the opening 40-lap main event, looking to make another championship run in 2024. The Oxford, Massachusetts-driver is looking to double his opening day winnings by taking the $1,000 check this Saturday, but he’ll have plenty of competition standing in his way. Berlin, New Hampshire’s Matt LeBlanc, brother to 2023 division champion Cody, also looked stout on opening day and would love nothing more than to make his first win in the Mini Late Models a rich one! Kevin Boucher, Garrett LaBounty, Normand Raymond, rookies Chris Moulton and Kristian Switser are also looking for the top prize, as are a host of invaders expected on Saturday!

Claremont’s Mike Jurkowski holds the 10 point lead over Waterbury Center, Vermont’s Tanner Woodard in the Foley Oil & Propane Late Models. Perhaps most eye-opening is the young pilot sitting in third on the leaderboard, Gilmanton’s Thomas Smithers, VI. The former Kids Division phenom has returned to full-time competition at White Mountain and leads the Rookie of the Year battle over Colin Cornell after two consistent and competitive weeks on the highbanks!

Defending champion Brandon Gray leads the Fisher Auto Parts Flying Tiger standings by ten points over Groton, Vermont’s Luke Peters. Peters has made it two-for-two on third place finishes so far and looks to nab the brass ring on Saturday. While the Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Division continues to grow, all the youngsters are chasing Hayden Bushey after the Fairfax driver has won the last two times out!

Patrick Switser is following in brother Kristian’s footsteps, leading the Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Mini stands after week two but Danville’s Jacob Roy sits just one point behind followed by last week’s winner Jack Hayes and former Rookie of the Year Jason Goodbout, Jr. in a dead heat tie for third overall.

Thunder in the Mountains resumes this Saturday, June 1 with the headlining $1,000-to-win Mini Late Model special! The annual special event for the Ammonoosuc Asphalt Mini Late Models is joined by fellow track championship action courtesy of the Foley Oil & Propane Late Models, Fisher Auto Parts Flying Tigers, Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Minis and the Dad’s 4 By Tool & Supply Kids Division! Post Time is 6:00pm this Saturday, June 1 with Adult General Admission set at just $15, kids 12-6 for $5 with children 5 and under free! The Family Four Pack (Two Adults, Two Kids) is also available for $30, grandstands open to spectators at 3:15pm.
