35th Tribute to Tommy Druar and Tony Jankowiak Postponed Due to Forecasted Inclement Weather

LANCASTER, N.Y. (August 17, 2024) – Lancaster Motorplex management and Race of Champions management have agreed to postpone the 35th Annual Tribute to Tommy Druar and Tony Jankowiak scheduled for Saturday, August 17 due to the forecasted inclement weather. 

Forecasted inclement weather throughout the day on Saturday over an extended period of time in Western New York forced the postponement of the event, honoring and remembering two Modified legends, Tommy Druar and Tony Jankowiak. 

Lancaster Motorplex and Race of Champions management are discussing the possibility of a future date and once a date is settled on, it will be announced. 

Racing returns to Lancaster Motorplex on Thursday, August 29th for our Thursday Night Thunder event, featuring the Insinger Performance/VP Race Fuels Sportsman, Monroe Extinguisher Street Stocks, Mighty TQ Midgets and the Late Models. Pit gates will open at 4pm, grandstands open at 5:30pm, and racing will get underway at 7pm Thursday night.
