N. Woodstock, NH — Thunder returns to the Mountains in a big way this Saturday, September 7 with a five division showcase headlined by the R&R Race Parts NH Street Stock 100 once again paying $5,000 to the winner! A return visit by the lightning fast Lil’ Webb’s 350 Supermodified Series and continued track championship action for the Foley Oil & Propane Late Models, Fisher Auto Parts Flying Tigers and Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Stock Minis also highlights the Saturday show with an early 12:30pm Post Time!
The R&R Race Parts Street Stock Open Series has been on the traveling circuit once again in 2024, having already made one stop at White Mountain on HK Powersports Opening Day back in May. Jason Woodard claimed the opening weekend win and looks to take his first 100-lapper victory with the Series this Saturday. Shane Gendron currently leads the Series standings and will also be among those looking to nab the $5,000 payday. Flying Tiger standout Logan Powers also intends to chase the winner’s check, as does former victor Kris Watson, Stafford Speedway standout Adam Gray and more on Saturday!
The big question mark for Saturday is Brandon Gray. The East Thetford, Vermont driver has a stranglehold on the Fisher Auto Parts Flying Tiger championship, but not yet enough to officially sew up the title. On the flip side of the coin, Gray also runs a Street Stock at Claremont Speedway for owner Nathan Kelly, a car that also easily fits within the R&R Open Street Stock rulebook! Gray’s plans remain to be seen so keep an eye out for a possible double duty driver on Saturday!
The King of the Mountain championship for the Foley Oil & Propane Late Models continues to sit in the hands of young Tanner Woodard. The former Flying Tiger track champion sits thirty-one points ahead of nine-time champ Quinny Welch, a margin that can be easily erased with just three point counting events remaining!
Continuing to be the hottest contest as the season winds down to a close, the Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Minis have a pair of hot shoes tied for the championship! Woodsville’s Patrick Switser and Bethlehem’s Todd Derrington are tied at 570 points each. As of right now, Switser’s two wins would act as the tiebreaker to Derrington’s empty wins column, but the veteran looks to change that statistic on Saturday.
White Mountain Motorsports Park is back in action this Saturday, September 7 headlined by the R&R Race Parts NH Street Stock Open 100 with $5,000 posted for the winner of the annual full-fendered affair! The Lil’ Webb’s 350 Supermodified Series also returns along with continued track championship action for the Foley Oil & Propane Late Models, Fisher Auto Parts Flying Tigers and the Woodsville Guaranty Savings Bank Strictly Minis! Post time is set for 12:30pm with Pit Gates opening at 9:00am!
