Jon McKennedy wins the Bob Webber Sr. Memorial feature for the New England Supermodified Series at Star Speedway

Jon McKennedy passed Matt Swanson on a lap 34 restart and drove to victory in the Bob Webber Sr. Memorial for the New England Supermodified Series Big Block Supermodifieds at Star Speedway on Saturday night. Swanson finished second, with Bobby Timmons III passing Ben Seitz on the final lap to round out the podium and wrap up day three of Star Classic Weekend.

    The 350 Supermodified Dennis McKennedy Memorial 75 had Timmons driving from eighth place to take the lead on lap 54 and he raced to victory, with early race leader Ryan Battle crashing out of the race on a lap 68 restart. Jeffrey Battle drove from last to second after making a pit stop on lap 18, with Ryan Locke finishing in third. 

    Also on Saturday, Michael Pernesiglio won his first career NEMA Lites feature in the 35-lap Hall of Fame Classic. Avery Stoehr passed Randy Cabral on lap 21 to win the 25-lap NEMA feature. Cole Robie won the NELCAR Legends feature over Kevin Nowak and Regan Parent.

The star Classic continues today with the Monaco Modified Tri Track Series.
