MIDDLETOWN, NY – Back to the birthplace.

On April 6, 2014, historic Orange County Fair Speedway (OCFS) in Middletown, N.Y., hosted the very first Short Track Super Series-sanctioned Modified event, a 50-lap main won by Andy Bachetti.

As the 11th anniversary Bob Hilbert Sportswear Short Track Super Series (STSS) Fueled By Sunoco season winds down, attention turns to the Legendary House of Power for the River Valley Builders North Region championship round.

Serving as the kickoff to Orange County Fair Speedway’s 63rd annual Eastern States Weekend, the ‘Hard Clay Finale’ takes place Thursday, Oct. 24.

The event concludes the STSS Modified River Valley Builders North Region title fight.

A 50-lap, $10,000-to-win feature event headlines the program offering $1,000 for 10th and $500 to take the green flag preceded by heat races and consolations.

The ‘Hard Clay Finale’ offers championship points toward the River Valley Builders North Region title fight.

The sail-panel-outfitted STSS Modifieds take part in their sole appearance at OCFS during a limited schedule season.

OCFS has hosted 14 Short Track Super Series events since its debut more than a decade ago.

Joining the STSS Modifieds on the Thursday program: OCFS Crate 602 Sportsman with time trials, heat races and last chance qualifying for Friday’s Eastern States Weekend main event.
