Naples, ME & Barre, VT — The meat of the 62nd Sunoco World Series sandwich is sure to fill the void for even the pickiest Northeast race fan with a little bit of everything on tap Saturday at Thompson Speedway! Headlined by a Triple Header of New England’s great touring series, including the Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series, the American-Canadian Tour and the Pro All Stars Series (PASS) Super Late Models, Saturday’s showcase also includes the New England Supermodified Series championship finale, the New England Pro-4 Modified Harry Kourafas Memorial 22, both the Thompson Sunoco Modifieds and Mini Stocks track championship events and the world debut of the Thompson’s Thunderstock Crown Vic division!

The Monaco Modified Tri-Track Series returns to Thompson Speedway for the Constantine Paving & Sealing 75 as part of the Super Saturday of Sunoco World Series weekend. After leading much of the early season, Danbury, Connecticut’s Teddy Hodgdon has given way to Northampton, Pennsylvania’s ‘Big Money’ Matt Hirschman and Bellingham, Massachusetts driver Woody Pitkat on the tally sheet. With only the Thompson 75-lapper and November’s Haunted Hundred at Seekonk Speedway left on the schedule, it’s still anyone’s game in the popular Open Modified touring series!

Both Thompson Speedway promoters, the American-Canadian Tour and the Pro All Stars Series return to Sunoco World Series weekend with a pair of 75-lap main events on Saturday. Center Conway, New Hampshire’s DJ Shaw has a healthy lead atop the PASS Super Late Model standings but still trails next-door neighbor Gabe Brown in the American-Canadian Tour rankings. The popular Brookside Equipment Sales Southern New England Triple Crown also returns to the forefront for the ACT Tour with top rookie candidate Kasey Beattie leading the Brookside standings following his first career victory at Seekonk in June.

Windham, Maine’s Bobby Timmons stands atop the heap, looking for his first New England Supermodified Series championship with the year-long finale on Saturday. Second in points is open-wheel legend Russ Wood who will be in the hunt for this first win of the season, possibly ready to jump ahead of Timmons for the title chase! The Supermodifieds are one of Thompson Speedway’s greatest experiences as a race fan with blistering speeds setting themselves apart from all others and simply cannot be missed!

The Thompson Sunoco Modifieds and Mini Stocks wrap up their 2024 track championship campaigns on Saturday. While the Sunoco Modified champion will remain to be seen until after Friday’s 30-lapper, the Mini Stocks are almost firmly in the clutches of defending division champion Jared Roy. While first-time winner Ryan Pomposelli and 2022 champ Kevin Moore have an outside chance at the title, Roy is sure to continue his smooth sailing ways on Saturday afternoon.

The New England Pro-4 Modifieds return to Thompson Speedway for the annual Harry Kourafas Memorial 22 with just two events remaining on their 2024 schedule while Thompson officials excitedly await the debut of the Thunderstock Crown Vic division!

Thompson Speedway closes out the 2024 season with the 62nd Sunoco World Series of Speedway Racing starting on Friday, October 11 through Sunday, October 13. The annual three-day festival of stock car racing on the Thompson highbanks will feature a taste of everything the Northeast has to offer including high-stakes regional racing courtesy of the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour, American-Canadian Tour and Pro All Stars Series along with track championship finales and more!
