As the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour hits the track for the fifth race of the season, Bonsignore enters the 200-lap contest with 11 career Whelen Modified Tour wins at Riverhead. He is currently tied with Mike Ewanitsko for the most all-time – looking to break the record and hold it on his own.

Bonsignore and the remainder of the series will honor former Modified legend and NASCAR Cup Series driver Steve Park on Saturday. Bonsignore has finished inside the top-five in three of four NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour events this season.

“We’re always excited to get back to our home track,” Bonsignore said. “We had the opportunity to take over the all-time wins record last year and came close, with winning capable cars both times we were there. When it gets down to the final laps, all of the cards have to fall in your favor. Ryan Stone and the team have been working hard for us to have the opportunity to go to Riverhead and come out with another strong run. What Riverhead and NASCAR are doing to honor Steve Park is well deserved.”

NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour race day at Riverhead includes practice from 3:30-4:35 p.m., followed by qualifying at 6 p.m. and the drop of the green flag for 200 laps at 8 p.m.
