EVANS MILLS, NY – Perhaps the most anticipated wins at The Evans Mills Raceway Park took place on Saturday Night during Christmas Miracle Night Presented by our great friends and supporters with IBEW NECA Local 910. On a night where the midway was illuminated by Northern Lights Christmas displays and even IBEW NECA’s custom snowman display, the Evans Mills Raceway Park gifted 130+ brand new wrapped Christmas gifts to children in attendance. All the gifts were graciously supplied by EMRP races, teams, staff, and fans. We extend a sincere thank you to all who donated. If you weren’t racing through the night you could have seen the massive smile on each child’s face when they saw their gift.
The great crowd survived the hot humid night by crushing new Cherry slushies and strawberry shortcakes from the concession stand. We were glad to host students and families from the South Jefferson and Norwood-Norfolk school districts. Students were pulled from the stands to participate in intermission games including Christmas music trivia, and a section vs section grandstand hot shot contest.
Racing would complete at 9:00pm giving everyone time to hit an ice cream stand on the way home!
