A season’s worth of Trailers Plus Ontario Legend Car Series action came down to a 40-lap Autumn Colours Classic main event – Sunday, October 12th – at Peterborough Speedway.

Dawson Drimmie and Mitch Wright came into the last waltz virtually deadlocked in the point standings. Before either racer had turned a lap, Drimmie held an 8-point advantage over his championship rival. As teams rolled to the line for the night’s headliner, Wright would start 3rd while Drimmie took the green flag 7th, inside the 4th row.

Pole sitter Jake Spencer-Walt took the early race lead, with Wright taking over the position with 8 laps on the scoreboard. Drimmie was also marching toward the front of the pack as the field started putting slower traffic a lap down with about 14 circuits complete. Following a pair of mid race caution flags, Mitch Wright, Parker Traves and Dawson Drimmie were locked in a 3-car breakaway at the front of the fight.

Another yellow flag – this time for an issue on the frontstretch – brought everyone back together, with the lead trio joined by Adam Cuthbertson and Spencer-Walt for the lap 28 restart. From there, all eyes were on the title contenders as green flag action kept fans on the edge of their seats waiting for the outcome.

With less than a handful of laps remaining, Drimmie was able to wrestle the runner-up position away from Traves and although Mitch Wright would pose for the victory lane photos after the checkered flag, Dawson Drimmie’s second place finish was enough to claim the 2025 season championship. Parker Traves, Adam Cuthbertson and Jake Spencer-Walt completed the feature race top 5. Gibson Baker, Matt Boyes, Cole McFadden, Caleb Drimmie and Wes Cuthbertson rounded out the top 10 finishers. Keaton Pipe, Greg Rudzik, Rob Eggleton, Landon Herring, Willy Howells, Robbie Sikes, Austin Arnel, Matt Thompson, Nathan Killins, Andrew McFadden, John Milwain, Hailey McNicol, Joshua Milwain, Paul Pierik, Joe Sherman and Mackenzie Milwain wrapped up the feature event finishing order.
